Disneyland’s GoPro Policy

Hello,
I want to bring our GoPro on our trip but I’m not aware of DL’s policy for selfie sticks or using the GoPro on rides. Obviously people use them (YouTube), but I was wondering if you can hold the shortie stick on a ride as long as the strap is around your wrist or if you need to have the wrist support. I think the shortie stick would be ok for carrying around the park since it is not a full size selfie stick.
Anyone with experience that can give me the guidelines?

I searched google for Disneyland rules and didn't get anything but the following message popped up for Disney World. Guessing the policy would likely be the same.

"GoPros are allowed at Disney World and allowed on all Disney Rides."

From Disneyland official park rules under Prohibited Items:
"Selfie sticks, hand-held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices not allowed in any theme park."

From Disneyland official park rules under Prohibited Activities:
"Photography, videotaping or recording of any kind, or otherwise engaging in any activity, for unapproved commercial purposes."

Also, here is a link to a thread from 2018 regarding the same topic:

Pre-COVID rules allowed GoPro's with the wrist attachment and the head attachment because those counted as a bracelet and a hat/headband since they were attached to your body and couldn't fly off on a ride. No selfie sticks of any kind if they extend.

In October I was able to take a little holder with bendy legs that didn't extend in with no problems. Again that was pre-COVID so not sure if any of those rules will change.

Would the underwater holder be something that could be used?

We brought the “GoPro - The Handler 2.0 Floating Hand Grip“ and it was fine (pre-Covid). Security looked at it, asked if it extended (no) and we went on our merry way.

I also used the floating hand grip 2 years ago... I read some positiv answers here about that beforehand...
but I didn’t use it on any attraction because I was a little worried that this might be against some kind of rule...

I was turned away at security at Downtown Disney security because I had the shorty stick in my bag. They said I could take it back to the car or let them confiscate it. Good thing I was staying at Paradise Pier and a quick walk back to the room. However, I saw several people at Magic Kingdom with the shorty stick, but was given a hard time at Animal Kingdom for having one. In that scenario they let me keep because I promised not to use it. I guess it all depends on the guard you get. Since then I have graduated to the hand strap. It’s so much easier to use. I Iove it.
