Part II!
So once I got there everyone was inside and suddenly as we were walking up the stairs to the house DF's mom closed the door in our face!

BUT she goes, "You needed to see the sign I made!" (which I will not show because I am in love with it & we are using it for the wedding pics, so I want to surprise all you girls here! Y'know, don't want to ruin the surprise...lol) & Nyx's little 5 y.o. cousin was told that they had to be quiet to surprise me, so after I got inside I was like, "Oh my gosh! Hi everyone!" and kind of squeeling and then like over a minute later Colin comes out and goes, "SURPRISE!" & gives me a hug

A little late, but I wasn't expecting him to be there, so he's the one who surprised me the most! Hahaha Another awesome surprise was Nyx's cousin Jesse's little boy~she just had a baby a month ago and he was soooo adorable! The little peanut d'aaaaaaw
So I said hi to everyone & migled, and we all moved into the dining room area. There was sorbet fruit punch (DELISH! I must have had like 10 cups of this stuff!), wedding chex mix (wish I had some, boo), salad, mini lasagna cupcakes, fruit kabobs, mini sandwiches, cake pops, oreo cheesecake squares, & other random goodies & everything was so good! Of course we got the leftovers =P
My friend's random collage:
The sticks from the cake pops--please excuse the bottled water:
After eating, we played this game.. There were 3 boxes for prizes. Now, there was this story that FMIL read that had a bunch of "left" and "rights" in it-- so when she said "RIGHT" you pass the present to the right and when she says "LEFT" you pass it to the left & it goes really fast. It was really hard!!!!! Whoever is ends up with the box in the end of the story wins it and I ended up winning on of the boxes--hooray! My gift:
A cool box with a Dunkin Donuts gift card! Yay! (of course FMIL made the box) & I forget what the other gifts were.
After the game we headed back into the living room to open gifts. LOVE all my gifts & so thankful for a wonderful family! We got a lot of kitchenware (amusing to me because I don't really cook, Nyx does all the cookin

) & we got some nice plates & new towels, etc. Typical stuff.
I am just in love with all the decorations FMIL did for the party!!!
Flags made from scratch:
Centerpieces to the tables~paper flowers!
FMIL has a chalkboard wall in their kitchen-ish area:
Poms made from COFFEE FILTERS:
Cool fans made from patterned paper:
Our wall of pictures! Which is now hanging in our bedroom:
Our story! Kinda an inside joke-- the house we moved into (across the street from his parents) is VERY crooked... The house is really old... So one day his grandmother started quoting this "crooked" poem, so FMIL found the poem and put it under her glass at the party!
THE BEST DECORATION YET--My very own doorknob bouquet! I'm very into vintage/Victorian/steampunk-esque style things and so is FMIL, so she made me a doorknob bouquet!
My bouquet in a million views:
The end has a key! & guess what that metal thing is on the end------a peep hole! This woman thinks of random but awesome things!
Okay, well, I'm going to need a 3rd post because I have too many pics... lol
