Disneybounding In The Parks?

I love this idea although I don't think I am anywhere near organized enough to pull it off!

OP - I would love to hear what your outfit plans are!

I would love to see your outfits! I follow her on Pinrest and love the creativeness! Unfortunately, I am not so creative or stylish when it comes to clothing. I try and I try, but I am sure my pic is somewhere up on here under the what not to wear to Disney thread ;) ;)

I got mine way back in the say when Home Depot still had them & I made a bunch of extras out of poster board!!

Ah, ok. Maybe I can find a good lime green paint swatch there and just cut out a Mickey head and have it laminated. Thanks for the info!

I Disney Bounded as the Dole Whip a few weeks ago :)

I didn't realize 'disneybound' was a verb. I just thought it was her username/screenname, haha! I have been following on Pinterest as well but not too many of the outfits looked park friendly to me. I will have to notice more of what people wear to see if they are 'disneybounding' in the parks!

I will be disneybounding on my trip in 3 weeks! (Sept 22 - Sept 27).

I have a Minnie Outfit (Epcot Day), Snow White Outfit (Magic Kingdom Day), Cinderella Outfit (Hollywood Studios Day), and A Safari Outfit (Animal Kingdom Day). I'm also wearing a Lilo dress when I go to Ohana for breakfast on our departure day.

I AM SUPER EXCITED!!!! :cool1:

I want to Disneybound!

But I don't know quite where to start... Where do you Disneybounders go for inspiration? Are there any communities, where people can discuss ideas?

Such a fun idea! I have a little mermaid inspired dress, but I'll look through my clothes now! :goodvibes :wizard

love, love, love this...cannot wait to try to come up with some ideas for our December trip...lol...my sisters will so mock me when they figuire it out!!:thumbsup2

This! I have seen her outfits for a while, but I had no idea people actually carried the idea out. I will have to be on the lookout on my next trip.

I'm so glad I saw this post, I've gone through my clothes and nite have a Snow White outfit and a Sully outfit. Hope some people get it and i don't just look like a big dork but oh well, I'll enjoy it either way!

So funny to see this, I've just "discovered" Disneybounding over the weekend and am working on outfits for a couple upcoming trips. Have stuff for Ariel, Snow White and maybe Peter Pan right out if the closet just need some jewelry/shoes/accessories to tie it together! Super fun for us Disney crazies!

This is perfect!

Oh, thank you!!

I honestly put my hair up in that bun and then stuck that bow in. It's a CutieBowTootie bow that's actually inspired by the Dole Whip. I was getting dressed and realized I had that striped shirt so I threw it on to match.

When I looked in the mirror I thought, "Well I just accidentally Disney Bounded the Dole Whip". I was amused at how my bun looked like the actual whip part of the Dole Whip.

I bet you have a ton of things you can use to Disney Bound in your closet. I had a dress on yesterday that would have been perfect to Disney Bound Meg in if it was purple.

Go to her webpage: www.disneybound.tumblr.com. She often will post pictures of people who are actually wearing the clothes as well as what she has put together.

I am not Disneybounding on our upcoming honeymoon, but I am theming my outfits to our destination/activities for the day. I have lots of retro-style sundresses with loud prints, so I'll have tiki print for Adventureland, monster movie print for dinner at SciFi, etc. I'm excited :)
That's such a cute idea!!! I'm doing something similar. When I'm having lunch at the Biergarten, I'm wearing my German Musical shirt (it says "Ich Gehör Nur Mir", which means "I Belong To Me") in my Snow White Disneybound :cutie:

My DD plans to Disneybound on our next trip in Aug 2014. She has a whole list of characters/outfits. I told her we have plenty of time to plan and shop. We plan to shop the discount racks and pick up items throughout the year. I think it will be fun and exciting to see how each one turns out!! :goodvibes
That's actually what I'm doing now. Discount racks are definitely a way to go. I got my shirts for Loki and Vidia (which are actually the same in different colors) from the clearance rack at Target. Tell her to be creative and have fun :goodvibes

I'm OCD so I'm TOO organized but this is just fun. I shall definitely be posting my outfit plans too (and maybe some pictures if I figure out how to. I'm not too tech savvy).

I'll definitely will me sharing very soon (just have to type everything up). I picked up Disneybounding last year and my original ones (Cinderella and Peter Pan) were the simplest things ever, just blue and green dresses with ribbons in my hair. My advice is start simple. Simple is best. Just get the colors first, that's important. That's how I started.

I didn't realize 'disneybound' was a verb. I just thought it was her username/screenname, haha! I have been following on Pinterest as well but not too many of the outfits looked park friendly to me. I will have to notice more of what people wear to see if they are 'disneybounding' in the parks!
It started out as her screenname (because she was Disney bound :lmao: ) but it's become a verb. The looks she does are supposed to be for inspiration, I think. That's what I used them for anywhere :confused3

That's awesome!!! Have fun and enjoy your Disneybounds and the trip!!! I'm also doing Snow White, she's cool. Oh and be sure to share your looks!!!

I look at the Disneybound tumblr. That's where I get my inspiration. I'm not sure where they are any communities (maybe Tumblr? :confused3 ) but you
can always message me. I'd be happy to discuss ideas :thumbsup2

Such a fun idea! I have a little mermaid inspired dress, but I'll look through my clothes now! :goodvibes :wizard
That's awesome! It's always fun to go through your clothes and see what will work for Disneybounds. Have fun!!! :wizard:

love, love, love this...cannot wait to try to come up with some ideas for our December trip...lol...my sisters will so mock me when they figuire it out!!:thumbsup2
:lmao: Hey, you can always get your sisters involved. I imagine it'd be more fun with a group. :grouphug:

oh and to foodrocksluver, your Dole Whip Disneybound is adorable!!! I love it!!! :goodvibes

Okay, you all got me! I'm quickly trying to plan some subtle disneybound outfits for our trip next week...I'm think Cindy or Ariel for MK day (breakfast at CRT), Lilo for our Ohana breakfast and Epcot day, Donald for our AK day (Tusker House breakfast) and then I'm not sure about our HS day. Also, maybe a villain disneybound for the Villian Party on Friday the 13th!! Eeeek!!

woot!!! we are planning to Disneybound at MNSSHP!! subtle, but definitely Mickey Mouse!!!
(or maybe Buzz Light-year!!!)

Scored some awesome fins (er, pants) at Maurices for under $5 today! And a great top! Now I just need to get some accessories and my Ariel disneybound is complete!!

I Disney Bounded as the Dole Whip a few weeks ago :)

First off, genius!

I've been picking up basics to match colors at garage sales and thrift shops (25 cents each) and plan on doing a little altering as I love my sewing machine far too much to not

The link the PP posted has my favorite styles - the clear and simple ones. They seem so wearable (comfy!), but still themed. I got my hubby to agree to dress along with me, so I've got to come up with 5 pairs to dress us up as! I definitely want to do Belle and Snow White, and maybe Ariel, Wendy, Rapunzel or Mrs. Potts (my favorite)? Hubby will wear (almost) anything I give him as long as it's comfortable, so this alone makes me want to pick good "side kicks" instead of all princes for him ;)

Love to see these outfits in real life pictures as well as hear how they wore trompsing around the parks all day :)
