Hi there! The choir that I assistant direct is looking into traveling to Disneyland for the Disney Youth Program sometime in the 2016-2017 year. This would be the first time ever participating in the program and I have some questions.

What are some good suggestions of songs/genre to perform?
Any tips or suggestions with traveling with a group of about 15-20 high school students to Disneyland?
Best time of year to perform?

Thanks!

I have taken my dance students for many years. We will be going again in June 2016. We do a variety of genres of dance styles: 50's, Broaway, movie musicals, pop and kid friendly hip hop. Our age range is 8-17. Most dancers go with their families so the need for chaperones isn't there. Most of us stay at the Candy Cane Inn, while some opt for DH or GC. We get a group discount with CCI for having 12 or more rooms. They have a breakfast included as well as a complimentary shuttle (real nice at the end of the day) but it is a doable walk, many choose to do that. Customer service is great, rooms are too.

We have only gone in the summer months (last week of June to third week of August. Disney Youth programs offers a special rate for park passes. We get them for the families as well as the dancers.

We also participate in a dance workshop with a Disney choreographer each time we go.
