Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

They say (on the website and in their emails) that classes will be offered June-October. I do not know how early in June they usually start though.

Thanks!

This is the class my dd is signed up for. Glad to hear you had such a nice experience. Can you tell me what you did in it?

Sorry, can't help you on your question!

Yes, my husband actually went with my ds8, while ds6 and I did the park on our own for a little while. They said they watched the divers feed fish in the tank, the cm's teaching the class talked a lot about sea turtles, they went to the manatee tank and learned facts about them, played a game and rode nemo at the end. It was around 3 hrs long, so they probably did a lot more! They both enjoyed the class and the ticket discount couldn't be beat!

Last year, if I remember correctly, it was around June 13th or so.

Thank you. I'm hoping it's earlier this year, but that's close enough to possibly change our dates.

I noticed that dates are up through the end of 2012 for Disneyland. Any reason they have dates so far out posted versus the World which is only through mid February?

I am attempting to learn more about the YES program for my coworker. She has 5 kids ages 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. They are on a tight budget, so I see the YES program as being the savior of the budget for her trip. I have several questions about this since I never gave any thought to the YES program before.

Does anyone know how much longer before the summer class enrollment is released?

I see that the classes that are listed right now show as being year round and require a minimum of 10 kids. Do the summer classes also require 10 kids or can you enroll individual kids into those classes?

Thanks for the info. :)

Is there a will call window at the back entrance to Epcot? We are staying at BWV, and want to go to Epcot our first day there, but I don't want to try to figure out how to get to the front of the park to get our tickets! And we probably won't get there until around 5 or so, hope this won't be a problem!

Expect to see the classes listed on the website around mid-Feb. ish. :)

Make sure when you are on the website that you are looking at the Individual Enrollment classes, not the homeschool classes. As far as I am aware, individual classes almost always fill up, and even if Disney had to cancel for some reason, they let you keep the tickets.

Individual enrollment classes in Florida are usually offered from mid June through Oct.

If you have time to read, this thread has tons of good info, or you could call Disney youth services, they are very nice!

Hi! I responded to you on the other thread. Glad you found this one!

If you go to this link, you will see more info on individual enrollment
http://www.disneyyouth.com/individual-enrollment/overview/

Last year, dates were released around February 15th. In the past, they have had classes in January, February, June, July, August, September, and October for individuals.

The only drawback I found was that the tickets you get are dated, so if you had to cancel, they could not be used at another time like normal Disney tickets. They are good from one week before your arrival to one week after your departure(they use the dates you provide at registration).

Good luck!

P.S. I think it's great that you're trying to help your friends have a magical vacation:goodvibes

I'm starting now to plan out our ADRS for August; our 180 day mark is next month.

It sure would be easier if I had the YES schedule pixiedust:

I could not agree more! I am ITCHING for them to release their summer schedule but sadly from reading comments on this thread, I don't think they'll put it out until after the Feb classes are over with.

I check every day, but I think you're probably right. So I'll go with my best guess for ADRs.

I went back through this thread and found when people started posting that June dates were up for 2011. It was Jan 26 when a post finally said June dates were up, so I will definitely be checking sooner than February. Don't want to miss my class!

I was wondering the same thing!

LOL would be nice if it was just after Southwest released their September dates!

Not to be a debbie-downer, but if I remember correctly, the dates released in late January/February were June-August and the September-October dates came out a few months later. Maybe they will release them all at once this year though.

You are right...the October dates showed on the YES website around mid-June however I was not able to book my date until July 7 or 8 I believe.

That would be fine - I just don't want the classes to fill before I know what week I am going to be there!

Thank-you for the info!

You are correct. Last year I purchased my YES tickets on Jan 28th, but IIRC I was not able to purchase for about two weeks after the summer dates were posted. When I questioned it they said they were waiting to confirm whether they would offer the July 4th program that was scheduled at EPCOT because of the holiday crowd in the park that day. In the end, I believe they cancelled that day's program when the schedule was finalized and released for sale.

cjnix29 - I'm 99% sure that there is NOT a will call window at the back of the park at EPCOT. Perhaps the desk at DTD is open later so that you can get them the night before.

Just called, there IS a will call window at the International Gateway entrance. Yippee!!! Such a pain to try to get to the front of Epcot from BW without tickets!

We were thinking of bringing one of my DS's friends on this trip. Will they allow me to sign her up along with my children for one of these classes?
