Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

Hi everyone - Has anyone had the Synergy in Science class recently? We are attending in a couple of weeks and the description of the class says it includes "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" which I thought was closed. Could anybody let me know what they actually cover during the class so I can give my kids a heads up?

Thanks!
Gina

I've read through many of the 3,000+ posts on this thread, but not all of them. What I was wondering is what the cost is for the classes that are part of the YES program. I see information about the admission tickets and the discount associated therewith. But I'm not seeing anything about the courses and any fees associated. In particular, we would be looking at the high school level classes. (I did go to the Disney website, too. I must be looking in the wrong place.)

Thanks for the help.

If it's the YES individual enrollment program, one class is included. If it's the Homeschool Days program, the presentation is included, and each YES class costs $28 per person attending.

I just booked a January 9th class and purchased tickets, but we arrive right after Christmas. We will be able to use our tickets then? Our confirmation just gives us a date that the tickets are good through, but not when we can first use them. Is this typical for those who have purchased before?

The program allows you to input your dates and the tickets are then valid for one week prior to arrival and one week after departure. Pretty cool!

Any luck picking up the YES tickets at the MK Will Call rather than the TTC? TIA

I would love to know this too. We leave next month and I was really hoping to be able to pick them up our first day on our way into MK. We're at BLT so it would be great to just walk over and get them and not have to go to TTC first.

We are looking at going 2 weeks next time we go. Is there anyway we can get 2 sets of 6 day tickets and have her take 2 classes or is it that you just can get the max number they offer?

I'm new to this whole YES program, and am sorry if this has already been answered, but what if you have an AP? Can you just purchase the class or do you still need to buy the entire park ticket?

The calendar I see only goes to the end of October. How did you all book for Jan already? Am I missing something? Do I need to call instead of doing online?

Thanks,
Michelle

Thank you Tracey. We would be doing individual enrollment. We've been going at least one a year for the last 15 years and I didn't know anything about this. DD is a junior in high school and is really excited about trying a few classes. I appreciate your help.

We are going to be at Disney World the first week in January and were keeping our fingers crossed for a YES program for our son, 8. I emailed them and this was their response:

Thank you for your email! Due to events taking place throughout the parks the first week of January we will not be offering Individual Enrollment classes that week. Currently, classes are slated to start on January 9, 2012. The classes will be on specified dates from January 9, 2012 thru February 15, 2012. That will complete our winter offerings for 2012.

The summer/fall dates will not be released until after the February classes have ended.

Bummer, I, I mean my son, would have really enjoyed the program. Do you think there is a chance that they might still have some that first week?
