Can someone tell me how long the tickets are good for. My Yes Program is on Sept 23rd and I just looked at our reciept and it say good until Oct 8th but I though they were good before the class as well. Please help!

I think they are good for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the class but don't quote me. We have a class on the 23rd too, what is your class?

How do you sign up for the program ? and what all do you do ? how do you know if you are able to sign up?
anything woud be helpful

Any update on 2012 dates yet? Also, could someone please post a link that goes right to the package prices for the YES tickets? I found it before, but now I don't see it. Thanks!

ugh I just can't make up my mind....I don't know if I want to shoot for May in order to get the YES tickets and save a few hundred dollars or go in November/December when I'll be paying more for tics

I'd base it on whether you want your children to participate in the program personally. Seems to be the intent of the program. As opposed to just looking at the price.

Well they definately want to participate, they love that sort of thing, but half of us want to go during Christmas season and half of us don't :thumbsup2

When you registered you should have been asked for your arrival and departure dates. Your tickets will be dated for 7 days before your arrival date through 7 days after your departure date.

*I* would drive to the front of the park. It's a pretty long walk from the Swan to the front of the park. It's different when you're walking to the IG to enter the park and see/do things along the way. It's a real hike when you're going straight through the park and out the other side.

Thanks for the help, Tracey!
We will drive :)

Go to google and search disney yes individual enrollment.....or better yet just search this thread as the link is posted often. I am on my cell and cannot easily post the link for you

I don't think they mind older kids going to a class for younger kids as much as kids who are too young for the class. I think there are safety considerations. It certainly couldn't hurt to call and ask, if your child is close to the stated age.

DS17(he was 16 at the time) went to a class for 8-15 year olds in August. They do ask for the child's age on the registration, so they knew he was "too old". Noone seemed to care. He was a little bored, but then so were the 12 and 15 year old in our group. I think 8-15 is too large an age range to keep everyone interested. Next year, I'm planning around a class for 12-17 year olds instead.

I called and asked...my 17 year old was NOT allowed in the class for 8-15 yr olds. I have to go with her to the photography class while my DH and little kids go to ocean discoveries. If you call and ask they will tell you flat out NO, the ages are a hard age limit!

When we met the leader for the class, she asked for ages right away and didn't mention a problem. He was 16 at that time. I don't know why they ask for birthdates on the form if they don't look at them. It wouldn't really have mattered, since the other 2 boys did the class as well. When we ordered, the limits were not strict for how many tickets per child you could buy. We had 3 boys in the class and got 8 tickets.

Definitely doing a 12-18 year old class next year. DS is bringing a friend and they really want to do the Dynamics of Technology one.

They were strict on ages when we went back in June. A child was refused admittance because of being over age. The parent tried to raise a stink but i'm glad that the castmember held her ground.

I guess our leader was not a real stickler for the rules or something. Even if she hadn't asked all the kids their ages, DS looks even older than he is. I would never have raised a stink and DS would have been happy not to have to go to that class. He really wanted to do the one where you ride on Mission Space. That's the one we're shooting for next year.

I was wondering if feb was an open enrollment month? I saw someone asked but I never saw the answer. Also wondering when they open enrollment? I'm only seeing through Oct now-is that right? How many people do you need to try to make a class? I thought I saw some people getting together on here and getting their own class before. Can you make a class with people you don't know? Just wondering the rules and chances of that being possible?

For 2011 there were Open Enrollment classes held in early part of February, approximately first 10 -14 days in February which was before the President's Day holiday week but none during that holiday week or after that for remainder of Feb. Open Enrollment classes were not available again until last week of June.

YES is no longer allowing groups to be created or formed to take classes; to participate in a group class you must be part of recognized youth group such as Boy or Girl Scouts troop, etc.

Good luck with your planning :)

We are planning on going back next October and have our fingers crossed that they'll still be offering individual enrollments next year as well. We were not able to get into a class for this October because my son is only 11 and the class is for 12-17 year olds. My son is so anxious to take the American History class. It sounds like a great program and I hope Disney continues to offer it next year.

Hi,
I looked at the YES program for June, but our budget didn't allow a trip. I was thinking about a trip in January and am looking at various options.

I remember that in June you could add tickets for multiple family members, even other adults. But it looks like this has changed. If my mom comes with us, could we add her on to the ticket package, if we only have one child (3 adults, 1 child) or have the stopped doing this? (Or maybe I'm crazy and you could never do this?)

Thanks!
