Okay, confused again (not surprising). If the tickets say "YOUTH" on them when they arrive, can adults still use these? If I'm understanding this correctly, tickets can be purchased for all party members, right?
Yes, adults can use them, and when we went in January you could indeed purchase tickets for your entire party. :goodvibes

Although we weren't thrilled with the program we did, I do still feel that it was a great value and a great opportunity to try something new.

Thanks so much - as you can see, I'm easily confuzzled. ;)

My understanding is that ALL the tickets say YOUTH because it is a youth program, but the tickets are used by everyone in your party, child, adult, senior etc. It really is an amazing deal if you get the class you want. They are valid 7 days BEFORE your class until 7 days AFTER your class. NO upgrade, no changes and no refunds and they therefore expire, so I am told to order carefully, you cannot cancel order.

For those of you that have bought tickets, and got them... are your names wrote on them? I have a call into the persons name in the first page of this thread, but she's not calling me back. I really want to sign my son up for a class, but since he dont need the park ticket (he has an AP)... I was going to have my friend use it, she will be the one taking him to the class.

No there were no names on the tickets we received last time

Woohoo! I just saved over $1000 for our group.

DS and I did this in January, and it was great (although his class didn't make and our trip dates did not allow a replacement - Disney still allowed us to use the discounted park tix). The only issue I had was picking up at will call at MK. The line was long, it was HOT, and when we got to the window, they tried to charge me a second time. I had to get the CM to make a few calls before he believed the receipt I gave him marked "paid in full." :confused3 So it took about an hour from getting off the MK bus to actually getting into MK. But other than that, this was a great program and we felt very lucky to participate.

Fast forward to last night. I stumbled upon a post on DIS about the program, and then decided to look into it for another trip (assuming open enrollment would still be Jan and Sept.) So I go to the previously bookmarked registration page and get the "enrollment is closed, click here for information on summer open enrollment."

I have a grand gathering planned in June, and, by a stroke of luck (we'd originally booked for two weeks earlier), we will be there for the start of this program :cool1: Our kids will love the class (so will we moms :rotfl:), and our DH's love the savings. We are purchasing 8 seven-day hoppers and signing up for the oceans class, all for $1400, which is about $1000 less than we thought we'd have to spend, plus we get to turn the trip into an educational opportunity (BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA). Combined with the 40% PIN I had for the cabins, this is turning into a great deal!!!

Thanks DIS for helping me make this an amazing grand gathering!

I would love to take advantage of the Y.E.S. program for my grandson on one of our trips to WDW with him. However, I'm not real clear on the program rules.....it seemed to me after reading that more than one adult per one youth can participate....even during open enrollment? The only youth we would have with our group would be our grandson....everyone else would be adults....probably six of us. We probably would register for a few programs during our stay.....I would actually plan a trip for the purpose of participating in the program....I know he would love several of them....as would the rest of us!

Is there a cost involved for each class? Or do you just have to register and buy your park tickets?

Thanks,

Does anybody know if open enrollment would be happening in August?

Actually the tickets are valid from 7 days prior to the arrival date you give them and until 7 days after the departure date you give them, not your class date.

No, no names. (we received our tickets last week). You will have to pay for him to attend the class since he will be using an AP.

As far as tickets during open enrollment you can buy as many tickets as you need. There can be more adults than children. We registered one child for class, but bought a total of 5 tickets.
Only one class is included with the ticket. For any extra classes you pay $26.00 each for the child and the adult.
If I'm not mistaken, during open enrollment, only 1 adult can attend a class with the child.
Kids over 13 are not required to have an adult accompany them to the class.

Thanks,

One class is included with the purchase of a tiicket. Extra classes are $26.00. Both the child and the accompanying adult need to pay for the extra classes.

No, no names. (we received our tickets last week). You will have to pay for him to attend the class since he will be using an AP.

Oh, okay... that would work, I am more than willing to pay the extra $26 for DS to be able to attend with his AP. This def. sounds like a win/win situation.

thanks!

Ok..I just got off the phone with Disney (LOVE saying that!!!) of course the "hold" music was It's a small World :rotfl: Anyway, everyone kept saying the tickets are good for 7 days so I thought you could only get them for 7 days. But the guy I talked to said to put in the comment section that you need tickets for 10 days, that they were available :cool1: So for a 10 day hopper per person it's 189.96, that includes tax but I'm not sure if it includes the 4.50 (?) fee. Doing this would save my family around 400.oo plus we would have the hopper option which I wasn't even planning on getting. Keeping my fingers crossed that we can get the classes that we want!!

Yes, you can get your tix before your class date.
I was told to note when and where I wanted to pick up my tix in the comments section...

FYI: I was also able to get 10 day premium tix by calling, asking, and noting the conversation in the comments box on the registration!:cool1:

YMMV

I called and was told to do this also...however I forgot to take into account that the day of the class isn't until the 23rd and we planned on the first day in the park being the 13th which is 11 days differance. I've got to wait till tomorrow to call back to see if I screwed up:confused: Hopefully we can get the class changed to the wildlife one that is on the 15th.

We are in the same situation with our class happening on the 17th (we arrive on the 5th). There is no problem at all with this, you just need to tell them your arrival and departure dates and your tickets are valid 7 days before your arrival date until 7 days after your departure date. (These are not MYYW tix so they don't need to follow the 14 day rules...)
No worries, just call!:goodvibes (or email)

Oooohhhh! So it's not 7 days before/after the class date??? That's what I was thinking. :confused3 Thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP for posting this. I had no idea such a program even existed. We just received our tickets today and I just can't get over what a savings it is! Plus, I think the kids will really love the class! I'm surprised there isn't more talk about it. It's really a wonderful opportunity.

BTW, it took exactly 2 weeks for our tickets to be delivered. They are good for 7 days before and after your arrival/departure day. I wasn't sure our exact dates so just went with a two week range when I ordered. Just for a little peace of mind and added flexibility in case our plans change a little.
