Woo-Hoo!!!!!!!!!
My tickets just arrived via FedEx for our July trip!!!!!!!!

Hi Poohlovr! Mind if I ask which program you signed up for? I am intending to sign up for Ocean Discoveries in mid-July. Loving the opportunity that this affords us!

We are signed up for Making Waves in a Marine Career.

Thanks!

Does anyone know if there's a headcount limit for each class? I am trying to hold off buying my tickets until after I've paid the remainder of my resort/dining reservations, but I don't want our 1st choice to be "sold out".

Still holding out for January. I've got the homeschool days marked on the calendar and hoping for open enrollment with more programs offered!!

Okay, I'm somewhat confused. This looks like a great program and I'm thinking our two older boys would love to try at least one class, if not more. If I buy our two boys tickets for one of their programs, can I also buy my ticket through this, since I'm the one that will likely be shepherding them around (also, why can't I do these programs, dang it all - they look awesome). My apologies if this has been asked and answered; I just started peeking into this thread and haven't read every one of the 30+ pages yet.

TIA!

When I did open enrollment Jan of this year we got all tickets in our travelling party discounted. I was also allowed to attend the Wild By Nature program with my child.

D'oh...they don't have a program in the first week of June for my youngest DD or my nephew. She's going to be in 2nd grade, he'll be in 1st grade. If we buy tickets for everyone using the YES program and there's no program for them to attend, then what? Is it okay if only two or three kids out of our entire party go through YES?

Also, can anyone tell me the duration of each class? I've got ADRs already in place for two days and I don't want to screw up or lose a whole day to a class, even if it's good for my kids (and something I think they'd enjoy). So sorry for all these questions!

This seems to good to be true.

Through the YES program, my 12th grader can get a 5 day MYW base ticket for $141.73

The rack rate for the same ticket is $242.82.

Why wouldn't everyone do this? What's the catch?

Update: I actually called and spoke to Julie, who is one of the Y.E.S. coordinators. She's VERY nice and was extremely accommodating of all my various questions.

We hadn't planned on paying for our tickets until at least mid-May, which is fine according to Julie except that we might miss out on a program we really want. We're going that first week of open enrollment (starts on June 14). From what I can tell, programs are 3 hours long or so. We've got six kids ranging in ages from six to 16, so it's quite a stretch for us to plan this, as I think all of our kids would enjoy the offerings that week. I don't however, want to go through the hassle of trying to plan three or four different Y.E.S. class sessions to accommodate everyone.

Julie told me that I could bring everyone, including our rising first-grader and our 10th grader, to the "Disney's Wild by Nature" program. We'll have six adults to go with the six kids, so this should be fun. I just hope A) enough people enroll so we don't lose out on this program and B) it doesn't fill so fast that we can't enroll!

Now, here's my next question: I already purchased 3 tickets from Undercover Tourist. DMIL and DBIL purchased tickets from UT as well. All of us are on a budget; is it worth it for us to return all these tix and then repurchase from Y.E.S.? Anyone want to share thoughts on whether it's too much of a hassle? FYI: we bought base MYW tix with no options. Purchasing through Y.E.S., we could instead get hoppers and water parks for less than we paid for the UT tix. I'm leaning towards doing this but I dunno if I can convince the rest of the crew.

Yes, that is the whole point of the Youth EDUCATION Series. Although I am sure you won't be arrested if you skip the class, if people abuse the system then it will be closed.

The discount is to encourage groups of 10+ to come to WDW and the open enrollment is to provide the same benefit to people who can't organize groups to come. Open enrollment is limited to certain times and this is the first time it has been available during the summer.

There is no "catch", but there are limitations that people might not like. The dates are limited, tickets are expiring, they have a limited use window, can't be upgraded, etc. Also, some people do not like "wasting" a park day to take a class. The class is several hours and you will not get fast passes, etc.

Okay, confused again (not surprising). If the tickets say "YOUTH" on them when they arrive, can adults still use these? If I'm understanding this correctly, tickets can be purchased for all party members, right?
