Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

Definitely, I'm wanting to stay from 9/25 - 10/1 and will have a 9 & 12 yr old....any particular class you're looking at?

No particular class in mind yet. We have already done the Wild By Nature so any other than that. We also have a 9 year old. I would be happy to take point as the organizer/chaperone for the group. What classes do you think would most interest your children?

I do not understand this program at all. My niece is 5. So let's say we enrolled her in an individual program. Then the whole family could get discount tickets?

Because of the age requirements, the ‣Disney's Ocean Discoveries, would be the one we'd want. Animals/zoology/etc. are the faves for my girls. I know there's so many other classes the 12 year old would also like, but I would think it's easier if they're in the same class.

Anyone going 8/21-8/30 with a 5-8 year old? Since individual you cant do yet would love to get into a group but that would be 9 other people.

Also, are they strict on age? She will be almost 6 when we go and the 7 year old seems to be the one she would be the most interested in.

I just got a call from a nice CM in the YES program, verifying that I wanted the 8 day premium tickets. Two tickets, shipped, came to a total of $424 and change.

We are one adult and one child (DD is 8), so regular price for the tickets would've been $742 and change, for a savings of over $318!

Plus, we have the opportunity to learn something. I think the program we signed up for -- Energy and Waves -- even includes a behind the scenes peek at the Haunted Mansion. Awesome!

I don't even know! I wanted to do homeschool program but they sold out, so I picked a program that was on our last day and fit our age range. It's Disney, so a bad day at Disney is better than a good day in school. Whatever it is, I'm sure we will make a good time of it!

We did Synergy in Science last year. One of the negative reviews you read may have been mine. I think the class might have been good for a younger child, but at 7 (2nd grade) DD was bored.

I think yours was one of the ones I read. It was helpful though. You weren't the only one who said it was kind of boring.

I tried to purchase last night and couldn't, so I emailed Heidi. She replied first thing this morning (as she always does!) saying that they sold out sometime yesterday. BOOO! But I did my YES tickets today, so hopefully we are all set for that. I have a CM from that department's number so I will call her tomorrow to make sure it went through.

Just ordered tix for the Jan 25 class at Epcot! VERY EXCITED!

I'm pretty sure they have to be school age, kindergarten or higher. I'm not positive though.

I would call. I honestly don't think they should start accepting younger kids, as people will keep bringing younger and younger. I don't think the average 3 year old would get anything out of the classes, even the ones designed for 5-8 year olds. Having worked with that age group for years as well, I imagine a toddler could be a real distraction to the other participants.

I know they are flexible with ages within the groups; for instance, they would probably let a 9 year old go to the 5-8 class, or a 10 year old go to the 11-15 class. My son will be 16 and I will be signing him up for an 11-15 year old class. There are only a few of the older classes and none offered during our dates.

Oh that stinks that you missed it by so little. I'm sure you will have a great time at your class, too. Aren't the YES program CM's great? I have talked to Ashley a couple of times and she has always been so helpful!
