Disney Y.E.S. Program

I have read that in certain circumstances they can be refunded, but you lose 10% of what you paid. This, from what I have read is on a case to case basis. They will also work with you to change your class if there is a dire need to do so.

If you cancel in advance, you might be able to get money back. Once you have them in hand, they cannot be refunded at all, even if unused, or applied to any other ticket.

Used the YES tickets last year. DD loved the class and we saved almost $1k for our family of 5.

I've read through recent posts and just want to be sure I understand the new cost structure. It looks like the only savings on park tickets are for the actual student who is participating in the class, correct? If there are 2 students taking classes do they both get discounted tickets? It would be me DD9 and DD17.

Well not me (I have to go to a work conference) but my kids and DH will be at Synergy in Science this day. I wanted to go but hey, if my job is gonna pay for Disney I can't complain.

Book it asap if you def. want to do it!

We did a class last October and saved a bundle! Not happening this year, though. For three of us, it just isn't worth it...
I'm wondering what happens on a Homeschool Day. Is it different from the classes? Are there special events and arranged meeting times, etc..??

We did HS days last oct. The program is shorter, like an hour and you don't walk around the park or anything like that. We enjoyed it and we could all participate together, no age restrictions. My 5 y.o. wasn;t very entertained by it so about half way through once the park had opened we walked over to Safari and got FP's to use when the program was over.
Prices were a little bit cheaper than yes ticket prices.
:goodvibes

For anyone interested, the Oct Homeschool Days event is on the Y.E.S. website now. It's called "On With The Show" and takes place on Oct. 9th. There are also several classes between Oct 1- Oct 18th that you can get homeschool ticket prices. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if there are ever cancellations? I called and they said that there were no "wait lists" but that my DS10 could have gone into one of the other age groups. I was a little frustrated because I was at work at the time and when I got home, they were all full :(
Should I just keep checking everyday until we go or does anyone have any other advice? Thanks!

There are no wait lists, but I've seen classes close, then reopen. Just keep checking...
