Disney Y.E.S. Program

In the past this would have worked. Not sure about what the new tickets will be like. If there are different prices for adults and kids that might make a difference and they may be "named."

Others might know more about the situation.

The tickets in this scenario would be utilized a few weeks from now. :scratchin

I'm pretty sure you could use them that way, at least for now. Our had no names, were not designated as adult or child, and did not require finger scans.

In case this hasn't been posted recently....

With all the talk about GP discounts coming out next week, I wanted to decide whether YES classes would work for my family, since I couldn't do the package discount if I need to buy tix thru YES. So I got antsy and emailed them. This is the response I got in 2 separate emails:

"We expect to have official 2013 dates for Individual Enrollment within
the next few weeks. Please keep checking our website for any updates."

and

"We hope you are having a great day! Great news! Our January 2013 Homeschool Days: Engineering the Magic is up and accepting registrations at https://www.studentguest.com/homeschooldays/?hsdcode=winter2013.

The event will take place on January 25, 2013 at Disney's Hollywood Studios at 10 AM. You are also able to add on additional educational programming surrounding the days before and after the event.

If you are not interested in Home School Days, then our Disney's Individual Enrollment registration website is currently under construction, but we hope to have it up and running within the month. Thanks!

Have a Magical Day!"

Within the month?:scared1:

Thanks for the link! I priced out the Homeschool tickets and it gives a good idea of pricing. They are about $15 more a ticket than I paid last year for YES tickets. There are also some classes listed for January.

I called today and he told me pricing would not be out for a while on the Homeschool days either so hopefully it is a good sign that they might be out soon for Individual enrollment.

Looks like if we go for Homeschool days that we all get the discounted tickets but if he indidcated to me today if we do the regular classes that not everyone would get the discounted tickets.

Sorry, I did a search and couldn't find an answer. I see that homeschool day tickets for 2012 were only up to 5 days. Is this true? Can you add more days?

We arrive before the 19th. So those are out. Hopefully the limitations aren't like that for the others.

I just priced out the homeschooling days and they showed ticket packages up to 8 days. We leave in 2 weeks for our trip, but my son wants to do the January class so bad, so know I'm trying to convince my DH for another trip! :rotfl2:

Yes, the initial YES pages only mention up to 5 days, but up to 8 days are available (I am assuming there is no difference with homeschool, group or individual programs).

Well, I hope that pricing holds. We Homeschool, but once again can't make Homeschool Days because they're after the date when middle daughter's rehearsals for the spring ballet kick in! :p

Are there are ideas as to what will be changing about the YES individual enrollment program? I have seen several people refer to rumors of changes but haven't seen anything that hints at what will be changing.

I can see one difference already in this year's HS days program. When you get to the end, you see that you've got the base ticket prices and then the surcharge of $30 per person for a class. I am pretty sure that all of our previous trips were purchase when the total for your ticket package included 1 class of your choice.

I'm frantically trying to figure out how to salvage our January/February trip. We booked Jan. 27-Feb. 9 because it's always worked for us in the past. This year, though, HS tickets expire 2/1 no matter when you buy them...~sigh~ So, we've got Autotrain tickets over $1K, a 14 day AKL-Kidani reservation, and none of it is going to work.

OK, here's my dilemma. We are arriving on Jan 25 (homeschool day), but not until noon, so attending the class that day is not going to work. What DOES work are two of the 'add on' classes. Yes, I understand that I will be paying an extra $60 for this class...but worth it just to lock in the tickets (2 adults + 1 kiddo) and get of this crazy 'waiting for Individual Enrollment' train...my question is, is this bad form? Will I get in trouble for missing the homeschooling class, even though we will be there (with bells on) for the 'add on' classes?

Cuddlemama can you get individual enrollment tickets. At least for most of your group?

We will be there for 3 weeks starting on the 6th. I am going to be in trouble if the ticked cant start that day.

2 questions...

1. Using the link to the homeschool days that a pp posted (thanks!), it looks like there are programs on the dates that we would need (January 24-28), but we aren't interested in attending the actual homeschool days on Jan 25th... that is my dd's actual birthday and we're going to spend it at MK. Does anyone know if the programs offered on those days will be offered as individual enrollment, or will we have to enroll as part of homeschool days, and just slip the 25th, and eat the extra 60 dollars?

2. Are these tickets fingerscanned?

Is there a reason regular open enrollment won't work for you? In past years those have run into early Feb, ending just before the Presidents' Day holiday season.

Ease my mind here please. My grandson and DH are doing a YES class at HS on Oct 19th. They have to be at the turnstyles at 7:45. We are staying at OKW. Are they OK taking the bus? I asked here in another thread but thought I'd check with those that may have done this already.
I got my class confirmation and it said that if your class was before 8am, you would need your own transportation. Getting excited here!

We just did that class and had to take a cab over from bay lake towers. We were told the buses don't run early enough to get you there in time for 7:45. We also woke up late and were in a rush so I didn't have time to check on and see if any buses were around.

1. My understanding is that if you do not attend the class you sign up for, you are subject to an increased fee.

2. No, no fingerscan on YES tickets, at least we never have been.
