Disney World's single biggest tourist market is.....New Jersey?

Another Jersey Girl headed to WDW on October 13-18. I live off of NJTPK Exit 10.

I have to share a laugh with all your Jersey folks. I actually thought Jersey Week was some type of event where people wore football jerseys or something like that. :rotfl: I am not kidding. :earboy2: Yes, I am blond - and Polish too!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I figured it out when I was at a playgroup and someone said they were going for Jersey week because of the NJ Teachers' Convention. I felt like an idiot.

Well, at least I'm headed to WDW soon!

Taylor pork roll and egg in the morning

I wondered where my mother picked that up - she grew up in one of the Oranges... but moved me to Long Island when I was a baby. NOBODY else I know knows about Taylor pork roll!!!!!!

OK, I can't resist this. . .

Maybe they just realize that everyone in Jersey wants to get the heck out of there.

Actually, that was a joke, but someone had to do it, I spent most of the summers of my youth at the shore in Ocean Grove. My entire family is from Bergan County.

Grew up in PA, but have lived in South Jersey for the last 8 years. I fought the move (my husband got a job in the area) like a crazy woman, but am now so very glad to be here. It is the center of the (at least my)universe.

KCMiller, I will also have my ashes scattered off the shores of LBI...this is something my DH and I decided just three weeks ago. I guess I'll see you at the beach ;) in about 50 years!

I'm off of exit 3, Gloucester Township, NJ. Sorry we're not going for Jersey Week but we were down last December.

I will be in WDW in 15 days to help support the Jersey tourism in WDW :rotfl:
I will be w/ 4 other Jersey girls :earsgirl: . I will be on my honeymoon during Jersey week. It was impossible to find a cheap flt out of PHL and EWR!

GSP exit 30

I agree with everyone who says there needs to be a NJ residents rate. It's the fair thing to do! :earboy2: :rotfl2: :earboy2:

Dirty Jersey...more than just the armpit of the nation!!!! Yay for NJ!!!!

NJ is the most densly populated state in the nation. Ok, now, you've gotta wonder WHY is that? It's because it's the most desirable state in the union and people WANT to be here! What other state offers all of this:
1. Prime ocean front property (you can actually see the NY skyline from Sandy Hook on a clear day) from New York Harbor to Atlantic City (did someone say, gambling?) to Cape May!
2. Two of the world's best loved and largest cities in our back yard - NYC and Phila. All that history, all that culture and entertainment, Broadway!, with buses and trains to both, all with an hour or less.
3. Mountains! A section of the Appalachian Trail goes right thru Sussex County!
4. Water, water everywhere! NJ is almost surrounded by water. The beautiful Atlantic ocean to our east, the Delaware River to the west, the Delaware Bay to the south and the Hudson River to the north. With lots of other rivers, lakes, and even canals all throughout the state. And each body of water offering a plethora of fun activities in both winter and summer!
5. Four seasons, yet none of the extremes found in New England or the South.
6. Where else can you live and within a two hours drive from any county, be in any one of 6 other states!!
It's the best state! A great place to live. And ya know what? We're just a short plane ride away from the most magically place on Earth. It's no wonder our state drops the biggest bundle of bucks in WDW - we know a good thing when we see it!
Go Jersey!

Hey let's not tell everyone how great NJ is or they'll all want to live here! KCMiller you forgot the best part of NJ....Sisters, who'll always meet you in Disneyworld. By the way I'm from Eastampton just off exit 5.

Jersey does rock and I think its awesome!!! Taylor pork roll and egg in the morning, only in New Jersey and I agree I think NJ should get a special resident rate like FL!!! It is true no matter what time of year I go down there is always always people from NJ there.

Have a nice day! :cool1:

:earboy2: Oh Yeah! Taylor Pork Roll, Cheese steaks and REAL pizza. How I miss that stuff. I'm originally from Exit 7A and transplanted to Colorado 10 years ago. Going to the World and Disney Cruise in June 2006 with DW, DD11 and DD5 (her first time there) Cannot wait :hourglass

YOU FROM JOISEY, I'M FROM JOISEY.. you guys forgot tomato's, Oh and corn....We're going later Nov into Dec. Less crowded.. But maybe next year we'll go both. I'm going to wait for the NJ resident discount. :rotfl:

I'd never forget the best part of NJ - FAMILY!!! Even if some of them are a little *north* of the state, Poohlvr :teeth: !!

KC :sunny:

Another Jersey gal here! Exit 9 to be exact.

Heading to WDW in 7 days, (single digit dance please... :cool1: :cool1:   ) for my first trip "Home" to SSR.

As like a number of you, it is stipulated that my ashes are to be scattered along my beloved Jersey shore in Spring Lake.

Isn't there a petition or something we could sign and demand our NJ resdient discount rate! I think it's a wonderful idea! We go to WDW(and that's drive with 3 kids the oldest almost 6) about 3 times per year! Now that my oldest is in school I guess we'll be having to wait for school holidays like Jersey week!!

ncbyrne-

I swear I could hear angels singing in the background as I read your post. You're a living, breathing brochure! :rotfl:

I grew up on LBI, and have lived in Michigan and western Pennsylvania. Now we're back in NJ and I love it!
