Disney World W/ 4 Kids Onsite Help!!!

Hi, we are planning another trip to Disney next year. We have 4 boys. THey will be 17, 14, 4, & 5. Any ideas on where to stay onsite that will not completely break the bank? THanks for the help.

I've never stayed there - but I believe the least expensive onsite option for a family your size is the Family Suite at All Star Music resort...I believe they are somewhere in the range of $130 - $170 per night (depending on season).

It is a LOT less expensive to stay offsite for a big family. You can find great hotels or condos or rental houses for $500 - $1000 for a full week. Anyway - just a thought if your budget ends up stretched too far.

Either the family suites at All Star, or look into the Cabins at Ft. Wilderness. I've always wanted to stay in a cabin!

Other than that, I think you need to look into renting DVC points and get one of the two bedroom villas.

We have 4 kids too, so I know what you're going through! Ours are younger, so POR is still an option. We have stayed in the cabins twice, and loved it! You really save money on food with the kitchen. Even just having cereal or bagels there for breakfast really helped. We stayed offsite at the Vistana at Easter, and it really was the favorite of all the kids. My teen was very upset we weren't going back! Onsite is just easier for us with the 13 year age difference of our kids!

We too have 4 kids and we are lucky because we camp and that is always such an affordable option for a big family (not just at Disney)
I would look at the family suite as well and the cabing - FW is such a nice, relaxing place to stay.

Thanks for the replies. We just stayed at the BC and absolutely loved it. I would love to stay there again or the poly, but how much is it to rent DVC points and how do I go about doing that? Thanks

I have 4 kids too, and I usually have to get 2 adjoining rooms with my AAA discount. This works the best for us, because it gives us 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs, 2 refrigerators, etc. We give one room to the older kids (DD13,DD9 & DS7) and have DD3 stay with us.

I almost got the Wilderness cabin, however, the price savings was about $200, besides, I like the idea of no-cooking during a vaction!!!

We have 4 daughters (16, 14, 6, 4) and we are staying at the POP. First time ever for a family vacation. We are getting 2 rooms so the big girls can stay in their own room (CLOSELY MONITORED! ) and the little girls will be with hubby and I. I've heard such wonderful things and we are so excited!

OP there is a whole board here on DVC where you could find more information on renting the points. I've never done it, I just know that it can be done and I wish we had done that last trip we had 3 adults, 1 teen and a toddler in one room at the Poly and I understand that we could have rented DVC points for less money. Hopefully someone will come along with more information for you!

We stayed at the All Star Music Family Suites last trip for 1 night to check it out. It was $198 for 1 night, and we really liked it. 1 bedroom, then a sleeper couch and 2 sleeper chairs in the living room. A tiny kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator were nice to have and saved us some money. Unfortunately, it only has 1 bathroom and that would be hard to take for a longer trip. Also, we have an AP and so 2 value rooms are less expensive than 1 family suite. I'm not sure if they're ever discounted.
