Disney World Reservation System -POST 1 FOR LINKS

They should be able to fix this problem because it was working correctly earlier this morning. I was able to book 10 days across 2 reservations - one in Dec and one in Oct, and I am an AP holder. I am so sorry for what all of you are dealing with. Hang in there!!
You were honestly just lucky. I have been on since before 7 and could only book 8 days out of two trips of 8 days. The bug just hits randomly. So who knows? I wish they could manually do it over the phone, but it appears no dice you need to do it on MDE.

An hour and a half ago I was able to log right in to MDE, create my party and choose dates... except that all the parks were greyed out. Now, I can log into MDE but selecting "View Availability" from My Plans or selecting the "Disney Park Pass System" from the MDE dropdown takes me to the orbit screen without a countdown. I have tried the dining reservation hack but it takes me to the same orbit screen. Sigh.... All of this using a laptop, Chrome, and MDE. I tried IE, Edge, Firefox, and my phone but got the pink castle for each.

Can you change or delete a park pass reservation once you have made it? I made a mistake and can't figure out how to go back and change it.
yes,but you have to cancel first. I did, you have to be logged in, get it ready so you just have to confirm, cancel on the app and redo on the website.

In same situation. Website specifically stated that AP holders would be allowed to book passes after expiration date since unable to renew currently. Would be terrible if we had to wait several months to renew before we could get our park passes.
I don’t remember reading this on the website - do you happen to have a link? I’m in the same situation, with a November AP expiration and an on-site December trip that I can’t reserve parks for. Very frustrating!

This!!!! I am a developer too, and I can't believe they didn't unit test someone having multiple reservations! And the site crashing like this? I get there are a lot of people going on at once, but TicketMaster also has a lot of people flooding it when there is a big concert that just released tickets, and they don't have these kind of issues. It's just inexcusable.
That's only part of our problem. There are 4 of us with APs. Our first stay is 9 days. All 4 of us can make 7 reservations, but after that my husbands profile can make the other 2 days while the rest of us can't. He isn't on our December reservation so can't book and the 3 of us can't book that either because "we've reached our tcket limit". We all have the SAME gold aps!

What's the consensus on resort reservation holders who don't have tickets? Do we have to wait until June 28 to buy tickets to make reservations? What if our days are all books during our reserved stay? That'd be messed up.
If the trip is in 2020, they just stated they would start selling tickets again later in the summer based on remaining availability. If it’s in 2021, you can call in on 6/24 and add tickets to your room-only ressie and make it a package. Then presumably you could reserve park passes, if available.

I agree - it seems the complete luck of the draw for this. I was on before 7, and was have a terribly hard time even getting in. Then once I get in, making my first resort stay park passes was very easy - and then I hit the dreaded limit error. The CM I was on the phone with had an IT guy that was doing stuff while talking to her, and it still didn't fix any of my issues yet. I did get 3 emails from Disney saying my account had been changed, so I'm assuming that was due to something the IT guy was doing, but now I can't even get into the reservation system to see if I'm able to add more.

they keep closing doors on us...earlier today the Dining Reservation login worked, which bypassed the countdown and pink castle, but now the dining reservation page has millenium falcon asking you to wait. So they caught on...damn it.

Thanks for the tips. I logged in via My plans, sign in (on bottom). Had castle for a little but then it worked. Was able to book 5 out of 6 park days. What I found was once logged in, it was easier to get back in when system pushed me out. Going back in kept me logged in. Hoping I can add the 6th later. I have paid park hoppers.
My sister in law is still trying. Question:
my nephew (for some reason/glitch) is not on their My Plans. If she can get through for park reservations, should she book them anyway for her and husband? Add child later? Anyone seeing this glitch? Think I read it before. Any tips? Thanks.

So are we of the consensus that there is still a glitch that shows that no reservations are available when the availability calendar shows otherwise? I was able to make 6 reservations out of my 7 day tickets.

I was able to get through after 2 1/2 hours. It was frustrating, but glad it's over. Sending luck out to all those still trying.

Ok the official word from the vacation club rep. Is the website is down to address the AP issue. No one can do anything at the moment she says keep refreshing keep trying. But her words were "no cast member can assist you in booking the pass until the system is back up" cause it's apparently down for CMs too. Her IT person she was talking too said it could be a few hours. they apparently really screwed some stuff up. If you're having issues with family and friends being linked then feel free to call. But everyone is in limbo with park passes at the moment

Don't believe it.

This poster is almost certainly a former poster by the name of Regan117.

Not hard to figure out....same constant boastful posting style, and joined very, very soon after Regan117 made her last post here.

Some aren't nearly as smart as they think they are.
i guess some people aren't as smart as they think they are. i don't even know who Regan117 is. only recently rejoined the forums after being here in 2001/2002 and moving. And yes, i have 58 park reservations.
