So I've heard a few people mentioning a Disney World cook book, with lots of different recipes from restaurants around Disney. Yay!

Just wondering if someone can give me a bit more information about it?

Like... Can you buy it at Disney World? How much is it? Where do you buy it from? What are some of the recipes? Would you recommend it?

Thanks everybody!!

try at downtown disney, they have like everything there. i think i have seen one there

I also saw it last year at MK at one of the Main Street shops (sorry, can't remember which one). I wanted it, and completely forgot to buy it. I don't remember the price, but I do kow it includes recipes from the parks (including DL) and the restaurants on the cruise line. It's called "Mickey's Gourmet Cookbook." There's a first and second edition...when I saw the one last year, it was the 2nd edition.

I bought one at DT in their kitchen store as a Christmas gift in 2005. They have a lot of great recipes!

I have two different ones. One is older, and OOP, which is Mickey's Gourmet Cookbook, and the newer one, which I bought last year at Epcot, though I swear I saw it at the cooking store (Mickey's Pantry?) for around $20, which is cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs.

I prefer the newer one better. It has more recent recipes, and some of the ones in the older one, I don't even recognize the restraunts name.

The new one also has recipes from DCL, AK, and AK Lodge, (Boma and Jiko - Yay!) And it also has the one recipe which I feel I needed after my trip - the cheddar cheese soup from Le Cellier, which I've made at least a dozen times.

It's definatly worth buying, and makes a great keepsake.

Feel free to PM me for more informations, or a list of the recipes.

Oh that's good to hear that they have AKL stuff in it!!

Thanks for all your suggestions, everybody!!

It sounds like a great little souvenir!

I would love to have one. Is there any other place you can buy them besides WDW? I never saw them while I was there. It would be a wonderful souviner, not to mention I wouldn't miss WDW so much if I could fix the food here at home. Though it probally would not be as good.

The have it in the shops in the Contemporary too. disneygirlatheart you could always call up Disney mail order and have it sent. I don't remember the phone number for it, maybe someone else will know.

Thanks. If anyone has that number I would love to order one. I checked ebay right now they are all older ones. I will keep looking in the meantime.

From the Cooking with Mickey Volume 2
New Orleans Square - Disneyland Park
it looks good. I'm planning to make it for my "Sister" and her family before we leave.

It has peaches, pineapple, watermelon, red currants, strawberries, cinnamon, lemon zest, white wine, and champagne. It sounds good. I'm going to do two batches one with spirits and one without (for the kids). I'll let you know how it comes out.

 If you would like the recipe let me know

I have 2 Disney Cookbooks and they are both older. This makes me think there may be 3 in total. The two I have are: Cooking with Mickey Around Our World, the oldest from 1987 and Cooking With Mickey, Volume II - Gourmet Mickey Cookbook.
I use both and I would love to see the newest cookbook.

I didn't see a cookbook on our May trip but would really love to get one! We went into any kitchen type store too, because we were looking for these Mickey and Minnie soup bowls (the kind that look like big mugs with a handle, they had Mickey's face around the rim with "MICKEY" written in red letters with his yellow feet on the I and K) that we got on our trip to WDW in 2000. (We couldn't find them - if anyone knows where to get these, let me know!!!)
Anyways, does anyone know the title of this newer cookbook so I can search for it on Amazon or elsewhere or order it by name from Disney???
Thanks! :rotfl:

I am adding this to my list of MUST HAVES!!!

There are some things that BF just can't over rule!!!

Especially since this is or last adult trip for awhile (we're buying a house next...what better thing to have other than a cook book!!!)
