I am trying to figure locations of the different resorts and I can't find OKW on any of my Disney maps. Is there a map online someplace that I can look at?

A non member website? ( I just bought my points through TTS Friday and won't be registered for a while.)

Thanks,
Al

I have a large scale property map on my hard drive...I'll be glad to send it via email if you send me a PM.

Here is a <a href="http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.aspx?T=4&S=12&Z=17&X=559&Y=3922&W=1&qs=%7cWalt+Disney+World%7cFL%7c">satellite photo of OKW</a> - Epcot is on the left (you can see Test Track, Mission:Space and Wonders of Life), DD west end parking lot is on the right and OKW is in the middle.

Here is a property <a href="http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/maps/WDW_OVERVIEW_INTL.jpg">map of WDW.</a> OKW is #17 on the map.

Here is an <a href="http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1251562#post1251562">OKW Resort Map.</a>

OKW is located next to Epcot, next to PO, next to the DD/SSR complex and across the road from Typhoon Lagoon.

Enjoy!

Hey DOC,
Your maps were SO COOL.
It really helped me get my bearings as to where everything is....hmmm, there seems to be lots of room left for expansion off around the lake from the contemporary. And hmmm...what is that big ole lake doing all by itself in the 'forest' .

Looks like there is plenty of money to be made in Disney DVC!

Thanks for the cool maps!

I loved the aerial maps! It gave me a better idea of where everything is situated. Once again, thank you Doc!!!

Great maps! They reminded of one thing our guide told us during the sales pitch; that Disney owns more acreage on the other side of I-4 (east side ) than they do on the side with all the current development. I don't know if that is true or not. It doesn't seem likely when you look at all the development around International Dr. I don't see where all that acreage could be.

Actually the correct phrasing is that Disney owns more land south of 192 than they do north of it. Currently they have no development south of 192, with the exception of the town of Celebration. About half of the land south of 192 is also east of I-4 as the interstate cuts through the land diagonally. Unfortunately much of this land is wet lands and will be difficult to build on, however anything can be done, so there is still a huge amount of land waiting.

As for the area around Bay Lake, Disney only owns a narrow strip of land on the north side of the lake, however on the east side they own all the way to slightly past South Lake, which is the smaller lake on the right. Unfortunately much of this land is already developed even though it is not seen on the map. This contains one of the CM recreation facilities, Disney textile services, food and merchandise distribution centers, and large amounts of other service areas, including the headquarters for Disney's own Buena Vista Construction Company.
