Disney world princess half marathon

can anyone give me tips/advise for the race (from packing to arrival to the events) any suggestions on planning.. what to do the race weekend ... what to expect along the course .....

Wow-first let me say good luck to you in the race. Second you may find people pack and prepare in different ways. When do you plan to travel? If you are flying and it is a day or two before the race I would suggest taking your race clothes (that you have already "tested" ie done a long run/walk in and know they will be good for you-no rubbing etc., comfort) in a carry on-DO NOT check. You need to plan to pick up your race packet by Saturday afternoon-can't remember the exact time-so this will also effect any travel plans.

Do you have specific questions? Like want to eat the day before or what time to get up the morning of the race or where might be a good place to stay. You may get more info with more specific questions.

Last years course was fun-my 18 yo DD ran and she said she wouldn't do it again (but she isn't really into running) she thought that it was fun and seeing and taking pictures with the characters was great. The first part-until we got to the castle there was some live entertainment- a drum band, a group of classical guitar players and a special mile marker billboard. Each billboard had the mile and a different princess on it. There was also Disney princess trivia questions followed by the answer. Main Street in the MK was lined with people and we started seeing characters when we got to the castle. There is also a photographer as you come out of the castle taking pictures,but be sure to carry your own camera as well. We got some one in the crowd to take our picture along the way. We saw may characters from the castle to the finish and stopped to take our picture with several-there is some one there that will use your camera to take your picture for you.
