How funny,
I've mused with my wife that we met at DW when we were small children. From our recollection we went about the same time.
Probably right around the same time this picture was taken. Maybe one of us is in the background there somewhere.
Time to try to track down any and all pictures and hammer out dates from the grandparents. The only problem is that I am not aware of any photos...

Saw this on our local news yesterday. What a great story. I told my DW and kids WDW could really capitalize on this if they wanted. I shouldnt think that way, but it would make for a great story on Disneys part.

Wow, this is a great story. Had to call DW right away to tell her about it.

We joked about being in peoples pictures while we were there. It seemed every time we were walking by the castle someone was taking pictures so I told her we should stop and pose with them since we are in the shot anyway.

I like the Mousedate.com idea.

seriously though - it's kinda a cute story...but one in a picture and one as a passer by in one of the most popular places on Earth probably isn't the one in a billion type thing that they allude too...but low percentage chances i would agree.

Hmmm, you think the odds of being caught in a photo behind your future wife, hundreds of miles from home are better??

We aren't talking about two people who grew up in Orlando being caught in a picture together. The odds of even being at Disney at the same time are pretty slim, considering that it was relatively new at the time and not nearly the tourist attraction it is today, then being caught in the picture are highly unlikely. If that photo was taken 5 seconds sooner or later it would not have captured the little boy in the background. The odds are extremely slim.....there are 13 people total in the picture and that two strangers in that picture eventually meet and get married (years later) are astronomical.

not likely...indeed. but my wife and i were at WDW at the same time when we were 9 years old...and we grew up 400 miles apart.
And...at the time there were only MK, Ep, and a vastly smaller Village shopping area.

And if the picture was from 1980...then you eliminate EPCOT from the scenario as well.


but i agree...the chances are quite small
