Disney World on tv!

Why on tv do they never show MGM or Animal Kingdom??? Most programmes only ever show the Magic Kingdom which makes it look like its just for kids!

We watched it too, dissapointed it wasn't longer but Lucy and I got all excited hearing the music from Wishes :)

i enjoyed seeing soarin, and laughed at how much of a prat he made himself look :rotfl2:

missed the show tonight any one know if they repeat it later on in the week

sounds like I didn't miss to much

He had a big grin on his face on Soarin', he liked it really! That attitude is just a "character" for TV.

Did anyone else disagree a lot with the other guy about taking traveller's cheques abroad. You can get them commission free idiot! Also if I tried to use my debit card everywhere I'd get hit with charges equalling waaay more than the £3 commission he paid!

He was a bit miserable wasn't he!!!!

He just didn't 'get it' at all, did he? The planning, the getting up early every morning or why people want to go back year after year!!

I don't think alot of my friends get it either. Granted most of mine haven't been but they have this far away look on their faces when I start off my sentence with ''I was reading on my DIS boards last night ...'' :rotfl:
I also missed it so will have to see whether it is repeated.

Both him and his kids referred to it as Disneyland on more than one occasion and that realllllly annoyed me!! It annoys me when you just hear people saying it in the street (like I was at Chessington World of Adventures on Wednesday and someone behind me in the queue for the Vampire was talking about rides in Florida and called it Disneyland - Grrrrrrr!!) but if you're going there to report for a travel show the least you can do is have the decency to get the name of the place right!!! :rolleyes1

And he soooooooooo enjoyed it!! I know people come back and say they hated it (I still think they're aliens though) but he looked like he was enjoying himself too much!! And seeing Soarin' brought back some DLR memories from last year!!! ;) Can't wait to ride it again next year!!! :)

So agree, Clare, many of my friends, work colleagues and clients just don't 'get it' either!
I can imagine his researchers sorted out a basic itinerary for him but as Jen said why do they never mention AK? they didn't even really explain about the water parks, it looked like they were swimming in MK! they didn't touch on the quality of the hotels either which is a very valid reason for Disney to appeal to adults too!

Also did anyone notice how much they quoted for 'The Ultimate Disney ticket' for a family of 4. It was £636, mine didnt cost anything like that!

Like someone else said if these people are going 2 review a holiday destination please get as much info & make it accurate

I actually thought that £159 per ticket for 14 days was ana average, some companies are advertiseing at £180+!!

I thought I was the only one who gritted his teeth and does a silent grrr when I hear someone make that mistake, hehe.

I also do the same when I hear people talk about their car's "wing mirror".....NOOOOO! Its "DOOR MIRROR"....we havent had Wing Mirrors since Ford Capri's in the 70's !!!
(although I did see a big 4x4 with one recently)

sorry :rotfl:

I loved this programme, I was sooooo worried what the psychologist was going to say at the end, I thought he would say that people who went back to WDW time and time again would be a bit mad - come to think of it, I don't need a psychologist to say that, cos I am !!!!!!! :crazy2:

Yep, he totally wound me up too, and my poor DH had to put up with me banging on about it for ages afterwards (though he did join in too!) It made me cross that he didn't appreciate that his children were enjoying it even if he wasn't, and that he didn't even mention (or try to find out about) all the excellent facilities for adults which are available in the World.

And calling it Disneyland annoyed me too!

I enjoyed the programme I think Nick "hammed it up" for the cameras, but secretly enjoyed himself.
Was good to see Soarin' :)

I noticed that Nick said theres no fastpass for Mission Space, I thought there was, is this right???
