You know the saying ... when the cats away, the mice will play! Well, our youngest son is leaving for college in a couple weeks - and my husband and I are considering going to DW in November. We are huge Disney fans, but we normally go in January or February. What is the temps/weather like in November? When does the Christmas décor go up? (We are looking at the 2nd week of November)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!:thanks:

I went the first 10 days in November last year. The xmas decor was up on the last day we were there and the temps were 90+ with high humidity.

From a local and frequent visitor I'll try to help. Weather is usually very pleasant. Early November is kind of like late Sept up north. It normally is not typically raining. Late Nov can be cool (think late Oct up north.) but is still usually warm enough for others to swim (FL people not typical).
However, the last few Novembers, I have had my AC on for Thanksgiving day. Expect highs in the lower 70's to near 80. Nights in the 60's. Check the weather before you come as a cold snap can happen.
Crowds - Early Nov is wonderful. Thanksgiving week is INSANE. Fun but crazy.
Decorations in the parks start to go up the day after Halloween. The hotels however won't be in full holiday dress until Thanksgiving week.

Thank you for your input!

Being from Indiana, we totally understand abnormal weather. We have had snow on the ground in May, and tornados in late November/early December. :beach:

We have gone the first two weeks of November and this is what I remember as well. An advantage this year is that you will catch the last week of the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot. The Eat to the Beat act the last weekend is Big Bad Voodoo Daddy who we find very entertaining.

Last year was a bit of an abnormal year for the weather. But then these days, what is normal? The humidity should be lower. My standard recommendation is to check the average and record high/low temperatures for the days you are there and pack one outfit for each extreme just in case. For Wednesday Nov 9th the average high/low is 79/59 and the record high/low is 87/37. In this case make sure you are prepared for a morning in the upper 30's/low 40's.

Wishing you a magical trip!

We've been there several times that week (Jersey Week). The weather is very nice, we have almost always had days we could swim (not every day) with little or no rain. Crowds are too bad and you can catch the end of F&W. Usually when we get there only a small amount of Christmas decorations are up, but by the end of our stay they are almost all up. Enjoy !
