Disney World Bus Involed in Crash

Before anyone reads the link to this story this time the Disney bus driver wasn't at fault because this car went into the bus after making a u-turn. However once again the Orlando media needs to use the words Disney World and bus accident to get the headlines when they weren't at fault.

Right. That is WFTV. If it were a Lynx bus in the heart of downtown Orlando it would have garnered no mention at all, but since it was on WDW it rates a Headline.

The Events that led into These Past Disney Shuttle Bus Crashes that I have been hearing about gets me REALLY FIRED UP !!!!

It's funny how the local media cannot wait to run a story putting Disney (or trying to put Disney) in a bad light. It seems that they ALL are doing that now--not just the Sentinel. And they KEEP doing it. Do they think the viewers/readers hate WDW as much as THEY seem to???
I always wonder just what Orlando (and the local media) would be like if the WDW they attempt to trash at every opportunity, didn't exist---?

Then they would go after Universal or whoever was there.. (would any parks besides Gatorland be there if Disney wasn't?)

Even the local ABC affiliate (WFTV) goes after them hard.. in part I think because :

a) they don't want to 'appear' to be playing favorites
b) genuine animosity between the affiliate and the network
c) Sensational stories get views. And anything involving Disney will get eyes and ears to perk up and possibly tune in.. especially castmembers, AP holders, haters, lovers whatever ..

If more people didn't tune in and watch (or tuned away when that kind of negative reporting came on..) .. they wouldn't do it. Obviously among the Orlando outlets, anything "Disney" is considered a "big deal"

It's exactly the same online in a way..

You can say "don't feed the troll" 10,000 times.. but some folks just cannot resist .. and then it's off to the races.

Without Walt Disney World, I believe that there would be one less place for Tourists to visit and stay at in Orlando.

Less Places to vacation, Less Visiters, and Tourists, Less Business,
LESS MONEY FLOW !!!!!

Underneath it all, They need Disney and they Know it.
Because if they did not need Walt Disney World,
Walt Disney himself would have found that out himself at that press conference that they held where Walt had publically revealed that He was Buying the land to build Disney World on.

But for me personally, Walt Disney World means a bit more.

My DisBoard Friends, I have autism. I am scared to talk too much about it sometimes because I do not want to come accross in an evil way.
When I was a 4 Year Old child, My Mom and Dad, and One of My Aunts and Uncles took My Brothers, My Cousins, and me on Our First Visit to Walt Disney World in the Spring of 1983 for a Family Vacation when there was Only 2 Parks there, Magic Kingdom and Epcot,
It was Round about Easter Time, when I saw Cinderella Castle for the first time and then watching those clips of How the Disney People Created The Disney Animated Films on The Wonderful World of Disney when I was home,
I caught the art bug. I used to draw pictures of The Cinderella Castle at The Magic Kingdom, and The Spaceship Earth Geosphere at Epcot and Mickey Mouse ALL THE TIME. Trust me.
Walt Disney World touched My Life. I just don`t want to even dream about what I would be without Walt Disney World.
The Moral to my story is: when they paint Walt Disney World in such a false and bad light, it is almost as if they attacked a part of me personally, sometimes. And as far as I am concerned, Speaking for myself,
The Local Orlando News Media need to be thanking the man upstairs That Walt Disney World is giving them Visiters, Tourists, Business, Jobs,
MONEY FLOW. They need to be thankful that Walt Disney World is giving people a reason to even COME to Orlando, Florida.
Because Walt Disney World IS THE REASON people even COME to Orlando, Florida.

WFTV, maybe? But read today's paper and you'll find "Lynx driver faces reprimand for coffee stop" ... So I guess that great anti disney conspiracy isn't really all it's cracked up to be when look at objectively.
