Disney worker accused of ...

Would that also explain going to EPCOT with him the following day?

I agree with the PP that she knows him and is setting him up.

People who are roofied often do not remember everything that went on during the incident, as would be expected from being drugged.

I'm not saying it's what definitely happened, i am saying that victims don't always think clearly right after an assault and her circumstances would have lead to a great deal of stress. How would she explain not going to EPCOT to her kids? Imagine waking up to 2 thrilled children and then trying to explain how you may have been date raped while they were sleeping in the same room. Really, what could anyone possibly say to those 2 kids that would keep them from crying and wouldn't make an already horrible morning incredibly worse?

Plenty of weird to go around without jumping all over someone who might be a victim... I know I don't want the bad mojo of doing it.

This is absolutely true. A few years back when Andrew Luster was drugging women, raping them in their sleep, and videoing it many of them had no idea what happened to them until the police told them and showed them the videos.

This is so odd, I'm not saying what the employee did was right by any stretch, but if I wake up to someone trying to pull off my pants with my 2 kids in the room, I am sure not going to fall back asleep to let it happen again. And then after discovering her stole $$ and a debit card there is NO way I am hopping over to Epcot with the guy. Odd story all around.

uh yeah this is just strange all around

she falls asleep with a stranger in the room then she wakes up when he's trying to take her pants off... then she falls back asleep while he's still there? that makes NO sense at all and there was no mention of a date rape drug or anything so that can't be it :confused3

Then the next day she goes out with him to epcot? uhhhhhhh ok lol

My version:

She met him online. He works at Disney. They developed a romantic relationship via email etc. She planned a trip to Orlando to meet him. He was not as he portrayed previously and she was getting wierd vibes from him. She may have had drinks or been drunk and falling asleep. She "knew" him from the internet so she was comfortable with him being in her room. Things went further than she wanted, but she knew him and was doubting herself thinking maybe he was ok so they went to Epcot. She could explain away the debit card and the $40. During the day she came to her senses, maybe spoke with a family member or a friend back home, and created a story around the "truth" that would make her the victim and him the bad guy and get her out of this situation.

However, who knows but the story seems wierd.

That makes a little sense. The whole story is so weird. Why the heck would she go with him to Epcot the next day? :faint:

I call BS. If she was drugged, how was she able to give a police report? She was clueless about the "rape" when it was time to go to Epcot. However, all the details were crystal clear when she spoke to the police. Please.

I didn't know they had that. That's cool. You can't get people in on your pass though right?

My BFF works there. She can get up to 3 people in at a time for X number of times a year. After 15 years you can then get up to 3 (I think, it might change) people in everyday of the year if you want to. You get a one day park hopper and the employee does not have to be with you. So in theory ... they "signed you in." As they are supposed to make you sign the back of your pass! :-)

The employee DOES have to be with you. You receive literature when you first get your pass that says so. The CM MUST remain with all non-immediate family guests at all times. This is the policy and your pass can be taken away for a certain amount of time, forever, or you can be terminated if you violate any of the main entrance pass usage rules. Do people let guests in and leave? Sure. They don't catch everyone, but they do catch people and they do enforce the rules.

I can get people in on my pass, and since my DH is a manager we don't have the # of times per year limit. But it is a friends and family privilege, and I'm sorry but none of you are that good of friends :thumbsup2

Bingo!!! Except for the "coming to her senses" part. Take that out and add "concoct a cockamamie story and figure out a way to get rich off of suing Disney."

My theory she is looking for a HUGE payout from Disney, in a settlement or in Civil court.* Not going to happen that is why Disney has lots and lost of lwayers just waiting on suits like this.

He is collateral damage.

Strange indeed!

*IF* this story is true then she needs to have a mental evaluation. Who in their right mind lets a strange man in her room, falls asleep, wakes up when he gropes her then falls back asleep WITH HER KIDS IN THE ROOM???????

There is way more to this story.

I totally agree!

Or he's going to share in the settlement...

Huh?

My cousin has gotten us in and she never had to remain with us. Why give the guests a ticket of their own if the CM has to remain with the guests. How very puzzling. I didn't realize she was breaking the rules.

Fastpasses, also the pass can only be used once per day - to keep the CM from getting in 3, then getting in 3 more, then getting in 3 more. They have the right to ask to see the CM's ID if you park hop with the tickets. Like I said, people do it, but the rules are still the rules.

Maybe so they can use fastpass, or so each ticket can actually be scanned on entry to keep track of how many people are in the park? I have several friends and family who work there in various capacities and they have all told me they are supposed to stay with their guests, and that they are held responsible for their guests' behavior. I think there are lots of cast members who disregard that rule, but of all the cast members I know none of them have told me the rule doesn't apply to them.

So much of this doesn't add up. Why didn't she call someone AFTER he finally left? He has her key, can get into her room at any time, and she goes to sleep again??

She clearly doesn't have the sense God gave a goldfish, spending her tax return on a trip to Disney while unemployed, and meeting up with a stranger, and putting her kids in a very dangerous situation. Unfortunately, stories like this make it extremely difficult to convict rapists.

Also I wanted to add...CMs are issued a certain number of complimentary tickets per year that they may give to people (NOT SELL) or use themselves for extra guests beyond their main entrance pass usage. The CM does not have to be present for the comp ticket - it says so on the ticket - and they do expire after I think 2 years if not used (ours don't last that long!). So, those of you with friends who are CMs, please don't ask them to break the rules for you. I have a suspicion that IF Ticketing really was clueless as to the rampant disregard for this rule, now that it has been made public through a court case and media coverage, they will crack down. That's about as much information as I am comfortable putting out there in a public forum on this subject.

I did not know that.

Good to know.:thumbsup2

Does the ticket say anything to indicate that?

Just to clarify for myself, I have NEVER asked for the rules to be broken. It was an offer and we accepted. To ask to break a rule, one must know that it exists.

I worked only once for Disney many years ago, but never actually used my privileges to get in for myself let alone with guests.

I did recently make a request to her, but I will now rescind that request as I really didn't know that the CM had to accompany us.

Let me ask you--is there a difference between hourly and salaried privileges?

I did not know that.

No, the ticket issued is a generic one day park hopper, like the tickets everyone gets. The back of the main entrance pass says, "This Main Entrance Pass is subject to the rules, entitlements, and procedures of the Main Entrance Pass Program."

At the time I was a castmember people were coming up with so many crazy ways to sue Disney that we had to take a class on it !
I won't be surpised if there is a lawsuit unless more information comes to light soon.

Also I can back up conservative hippie's statement on the castmember pass rules. I was there 1990-1994 and those were the rules then too.
