Disney worker accused of ...

Just to clarify for myself, I have NEVER asked for the rules to be broken. It was an offer and we accepted. To ask to break a rule, one must know that it exists.

I worked only once for Disney many years ago, but never actually used my privileges to get in for myself let alone with guests.

I did recently make a request to her, but I will now rescind that request as I really didn't know that the CM had to accompany us.

Let me ask you--is there a difference between hourly and salaried privileges?

I didn't mean anyone in particular, just a general caution to throw out there. I've told friends of mine no because I couldn't stay with them just to find out they found someone else who was willing to break the rules for them. I'm sorry, but a day at Disney for you is not worth my husband's job.

I know there are differences, but my DH is salaried, so those are the rules I know about. I know a little bit about hourly from friends of mine who are hourly. If you want to know something specific, I'd prefer a PM.

I think you covered it. Thanks.

I'll PM you though with the more specific details to see if it makes a difference.

How about we let the cops figure out if she was raped?NONE of us know what happened and until we do it is sad to see everyone jumping on the wdw bandwagaon....the cops had to have SOMETHING on this guy for them to arrest him for rape, do not think for a minute that they dont check things out BEFORE they make a arrest...OCSD work on disney property and wdw helps with their budget for that area so OCSD wont just jump to arrest a wdw employee for no reason...that had to have found SOMETHING.
This is not a game of CSI, lets wait to see what they find. This is a womens life.

this story is so weird all the way round.....

First...she is unemployed but was spending her income tax check on Disney?!? I love Disney just as much as the next person on the DIS, but really....hmm a roof over my and my family's heads or disney?

Then...IDK if I am reading this correctly when she booked the package (or the room whatever) and the man said he'd give her a family/friend discount she blurts out "I will not give sexual favors in return." Really, if you were so skeptical as to say this to this man then hang up and call another reservation specialist @ WDW and report whatever it was that he said that would make you blurt that out. If it really was put under his name then a red flag should have went up in this woman's head that this is NOT a good idea.

Really really odd story and don't know which way to go with it LoL.
I thin clearly she is looking for money...so lets sue Disney.

see the post below. It happens on the DIS from time to time.

That part I totally believe. Have you ever read the Budget Board? :rotfl:

I'm not jumping on WDW bandwagon. But I am jumping on she is a nut wagon. You have to be a nut to do all the crazy things she did. Just because the man was arrested, doesn't she is telling the truth.

Men have gone to prison because of false accusations of rape. Example a Mr Blackwell in the UK spent 3 years 4 months in jail for a rape that didn't happen there was no phyical evidence just the word of his alleged "rape" victim.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-404898/Man-freed-serial-rape-accuser-remains-anonymous.html
Has made at least five other fake allegations of sexual and physical assault to police in three separate forces.
• Was married twice and made false allegations against both husbands - one of whom was a policeman.
• Once accused her own father of sexual assault, but police concluded she had made it up.
• Accused a boy of rape when she was a teenager, only for a doctor to discover she was still a virgin.
• The CCRC concluded that in the case of Mr Blackwell, she had "lied about the assault and was not attacked at all, her injuries being self-inflicted".
The story the "victim" of this crime is making no sense. She was assaulted once and went to sleep with him in the same room as her and her children, was assaulted again then went back to sleep again putting her children at risk. Then spent the next day with him before accusing him of rape. This is booze glasses at work.

I wonder if she might try and sue for her back injury as well.

'While riding the park's indoor rollercoaster Space Mountain, the woman told Brookins she hurt her back and wanted to return to the room with her children. He drove them to the hotel and insisted on staying in the room, despite her claims of being tired. He didn't respond to "her hints for him to go," the report stated.

The employee DOES have to be with you. You receive literature when you first get your pass that says so. The CM MUST remain with all non-immediate family guests at all times. This is the policy and your pass can be taken away for a certain amount of time, forever, or you can be terminated if you violate any of the main entrance pass usage rules. Do people let guests in and leave? Sure. They don't catch everyone, but they do catch people and they do enforce the rules.

I can get people in on my pass, and since my DH is a manager we don't have the # of times per year limit. But it is a friends and family privilege, and I'm sorry but none of you are that good of friends :thumbsup2

I was a CP, so not a full time CM, but my last CP they switched from the two passes to the main gate passes. Here is what I was told by my managers:

We had to be there to sign people in. We did not have to stay with them the whole day, but we were responsible for their actions. We could be terminated if our guests caused a problem in the park. I was even told that one time it was acceptable to be out of area in costume in MK was to sign in friend and family while you were working (and then you go to your area.) I never tried it myself, but I remember reading that or being told that by a manager.

I'm not saying that you're wrong, just that we were told different when given our Main Gates. We were strongly encouraged to remain with our guests, but were told it was not a requirement.

The truth of the matter is, you can accuse anyone of almost anything, and if it seems reliable and resonable (and the person does not have an airtight alibi), they can be arrested because you are "innocent until proven guilty" and will have time in court to prove your innocence.

I think the truth in this case is probably someplace in-between. The lady in question made several un-safe decisions (getting in a car with a stranger, letting a stranger in her room, going back to spend time with someone who had assulted her) but, then again, the WDW employee was not acting in a totally professional manner.

No doubt.

Her story does not make sense. Who would go back to sleep when a strange man is pulling your pants off? Why not call the police right after it happened instead of getting a free pass into Epcot the next day with him? Very strange. :confused3

No proof really needed (to have the warrant issued) all she needs to do is sign/swear affidavit saying that she was assulted/raped by him and a warrant will be issued. Then it is up to the courts to prove innocent or guily

I worked as a CM for the Disney Florist a couple of years ago. I was told in Traditions class that we had to stay with any quests for which we used our Main Gate pass. My sister is a core trainer at WDW and has said the same thing. I believe that the rule states that the CM must stay with their guests. Many CMs just disregard this rule.

That part makes no sense to me either. Unless she was drugged I don't understand her reactions at all.

You might have been told differently, but the back of your pass still states, "This Main Entrance Pass is subject to the rules, entitlements, and procedures of the Main Entrance Pass Program." That is what matters. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

You don't have to stay with immediate family members, so that would be an instance where you could let someone in in costume and then leave. You are also responsible for your guests' actions and could be terminated if they cause problems in the park (I have banned one of my brothers' friends from ever coming with us on our Pass because he smokes pot and I definitely am not risking my husband's job if this dopehead gets caught with pot in the parks).

:snooty: have you actually have people here on the DIS ask you to get them in . I have known of a few situations where some of the DIS members have banded together and given away tickets, points to stay and money to help out another Dis'er. Thank God for people like that. They have really made a difference in someones life:thumbsup2

(by the way the snooty is not directed at you personally, it's directed at the friends comment:flower3:)

That might be what they were referring to. It's been a few years, so my memory is a bit hazy on it. And the info on the back of the pass is so vague, that does not mean that the person just knows automatically that is the rule. I would hate for someone to get termed just because their manager told them wrong.

I wasn't told about it in traditions because when I went through, CPs had the two tickets and not the Maingate so it was not an issue. I didn't go through traditions for my other two programs since I had already done it. Basically, they handed it to me and did not give me much info besides what a random manager told me at some point later in the game. Perhaps that is why I was given incorrect info on it.
