Disney Wonder - Tracking Room Refurbishments

What's the deal with the balconies?
I think they are talking about being reassigned a room with a smaller balcony than they reserved originally. The current refurbishment is not touching the balconies.

Does anyone know if they still have the steamer trunks or did they replace them with cabinets?

It appears the furnishings are following the direction the Magic's did. On the Magic the steamer trunks were replaced by storage pieces. They aren't exactly like the steamer trunks. I believe there are drawers. But there is a storage piece. The steamer trunks aren't vanishing with nothing in their place. I loved our steamer trunks on the Wonder last fall, especially the double size one we had on the deck 2 deluxe inside room. It was huuuuuge!

We were in 7518 on the Feb 6 sailing. It was recently refurbished, and they were working next door to us toward the middle of the ship. We heard a little noise during the day, but it didn't detract from our vacation.

We're going to be in rooms 6543 and 6545 on the Wonder which I think is considered mid-ship for the 5-day cruise leaving March 6. I really hope it's been refurbished by then! I've never been on a Disney cruise so I'm hoping i won't be disappointed with the staterooms.

Today we disembarked from a 5 day aboard the wonder in cabin 2022, new refrigerator but everything else was the original furnishings. Construction was underway on Deck 6 midship port side.

I don't think they've gotten down to deck 2 yet. Some of the cold boxes had been switched out to the refridgerators previously. We had a fridge on deck 5 at the end of September then a cold box in a deck 2 room the following sailing.

I'm hunting pictures of what the replacement for the double steamer trunks looks like. I've seen the single steamer replacement. I wanna see the double!!!! :cutie:

We were on the Wonder in November. While the decor was older, it is still a beautiful ship. Enjoy your cruise!

We are in 6507 next week -- forward, inside, sideways stateroom. Does anyone know if that area has been refurbished? We've stayed in it before and loved it, just curious if it will be updated.

We will be in rooms 2635-2637 on the Wonder next month. Does anyone know if these have been refurbished?

I just got off the Wonder today after a fabulous cruise!!
We were in 6526 and I don't think that that cabin had been refurbished yet.
How can you tell? It pretty much looked the same as the last time I was on this ship.
Steamer trunk, coffee table. The carpet might have been new but nothing else looked brand new to me.
Regardless the room was great ...... we even booked the same cabin for Feb 2016!

Was the bed one queen or two twins put together?

. We just got off the Wonder yesterday and I believe your room might be being refurbished this cruise. You might be the first to stay in the new room! They were finishing the starboard cabins on the our cruise (6090 and greater on the port side) and I believe starting the starboard, forward cabins on the 6th deck when we disembarked on Wed, Feb 25th.

We just returned from 4 day wonder and our room was just redone according to our stateroom host. New coffee table bed and sofa and curtains. Trunk was still there. Room 6104.

Just off the Wonder yesterday in new room-7096. New bed-it was so comfy! New sofa, curtains. And yes, trunk was there-which was nice since it held a lot of our clothing. New carpet as well.
We were told Wonder is not scheduled for extensive dry-dock until late 2016. She is a beautiful ship! They take such good care of her.
