Disney Wonder September 3, 2012. Seattle to Vancouver 7 night Alaska Cruise!

Getting together for pin trading sounds like a wonderful idea, Mr Happy! Just let me know when and where :thumbsup2

I've never been on a Disney Cruise and the only cruise I have been on, also to Alaska, was 20 years ago. Anyone know where a good place to meet up the first full day would be?

I'm going to be exploring the ship most of the first day and just watching movies and stupid stuff they rest of the time. I'm also hoping to find all the CMs and see if they will trade pins with me. I have about 250-300 pins that are duplicates that I'm bringing.

Hello,

I was just assigned 2 of my room #'s. I booked 2 VGT and 1 OGT. The VGT's (containing 4 people and 2 people) were assigned to deck 6, starboard side, category 5C, connecting... close to the forward elevators.

I've never been on a disney cruise - is this an ok assignment for VGT GTY?

Thanks!

Sounds great to me- connecting, clear verandah, with staterooms above and below (I think). Did you find out the assignments by logging onto the DCL website, or another way? Can't wait to see if I get my VGT today!

yeah - I logged in to check at 8:30am pst and the assignment was made. not sure if I can post links here, but it was listed under the planning-center/my-online-check-in/ section, once you log in.

I have the kids club and a lifeboat below me...:sad1:

No IGT GTY assigned yet :sad1:

I'm sitting here in training on a business trip with free wifi, obsessively refreshing my iPod touch every 5 minutes. It's almost impossible to pay attention when the day I've been waiting for (aside from sept 3, of course) might finally be here!!

Just got my VGT 5150. Honestly, I'm really upset. The vibrations are probably going to keep me awake, and the Solid verandah (which floods when it rains) will be hard for DS to see past. Plus it's right over AP (better than under, I suppose). This is pretty much the worst case scenario for me, a nav verandah would have been better.

Does anyone know if I have any options? With VGT, I know there aren't many.

:sad1: Sorry to hear that! Can you pay the difference and upgrade to a Nav Verandah GTY? What about upgrading at the port? Will they let you do that with a VGT? I'm sorry... you've been waiting so long to find out, and now this.

Don't feel too bad I just got my OGT assignment and I am on deck 2 right below Diversions Sports club. I was really hoping for an upper deck considering everybody has been getting pretty good assignments. It also looks like there are plenty of outside cabins available since they still have the OGT rate. Not happy about it for our first Disney cruise.

Sorry I am new to Disboards and didn't realize I had a PM. I haven't posted enough to be able to respond. Sorry about that. My answer is that I am not offended and Melat is my daughter. I thought posting wouldn't be bad as it is unusual name and I am sure many have that question.

Look forward to meeting you all.

Pat

Ok, they just assigned us tonight! We are towards the forward on the 7th floor but near the central elevators/stairs. Is that good? :confused3

P.S. Hollywood_Glitter, are you going to send the list again with the updated staterooms?

My 3rd room is an OGT and it was also assigned to Deck 2, port side under the nightclub... Would have hoped it could have been higher up, closer to my other 2 rooms :( It is a connecting room too...

Welcome to the 7th floor! I think Deck 7 is a "preferred deck" by one of the cruise rating places. We're pretty far aft, but I think the whole deck is good! Congrats!

Of course! :thumbsup2 I'm still gathering info

Go ahead and include our current stateroom for now, but keep in mind that we're going to do (almost) everything we can to upgrade at the port. Somewhat recent threads have indicated that this is a possibility, as long as we're moving up in category - and with cat 6, we definitely have room to move.

Since we are started to see room assignments I thought I would post this again ...
I still need room numbers for:

Mr. Happy
mompaq
Cinderelley
Katwillow
Patapat
THNLK

Thanks
