Disney Wonder September 3, 2012. Seattle to Vancouver 7 night Alaska Cruise!

We plan to board the ship around 11:30, so our afternoon is open. DS will (hopefully) take a nap at some point, but it's hard to predict when that will happen - on the Dream, he finally fell asleep about 15 minutes before the muster drill, and DH had to carry him, still mostly asleep and in a tshirt and underwear, to the Walt Disney Theater. ;)

I should be able to make the DISmeet, at a minimum!

And yes, there's a Promenade Lounge on the Wonder as well.

I think we are getting the DISmeet info. around August 1. By then we will know how many will participate of the FE.

Ok, heard from QuickShuttle. If we can get 16 people all together, then we can get 10% off. So instead of $57/person it takes it down to about $52. Not much, but better. Can we get 16 people though? :sad2::grouphug:

I thought we were holding off on that. Does everyone have their arrival times? Maybe we can get everyone to agree on something. Our last cruise we did the exact same as you and it was pretty well attended. I think we also planned a meet up for drinks on our at sea day. I missed that because we had brunch.

I think our muster drill is at 4pm and then the sail away party at 4:30pm. I would think 3pm should work. What does everyone else think?

We get off the plane at 12 but have boarding, according to the precruise booking stuff, at 2:30 which was the earliest we could get. I hope we can get in before that.

But 3 should work no matter.

You should be able to. :thumbsup2 I've been able to board before my boarding time. Never had a problem with that! :cool1:

Hello fellow cruisers :D I thought I would say hi and let you all know we (my friend Suzanne and I) are very much looking forward to our 2nd cruise aboard the Wonder and our 1st cruise to Alaska (my dream vacation!!) It will also be my 50th B-day celebration cruise. Our 1st cruise was to Nassau for Suzanne's 60th B-day. We had such an awesome time .... but both agreed 3 days was NOT enough time to do the ports AND get to know the Wonder. We aren't traveling with any children -- but we are both children at heart. We will be staying in Seattle for just the night before, as she is from Portland and I lived in the Pacific Northwest for about 16 years...both of us have "been there done that" -- not that we don't always enjoy Seattle when we get the opportunity to be there. In Skagway we are doing the White Pass Scenic Railway ... In Juneau we are doing the Deluxe Tour of Juneau .... Ketchikan we are doing The Duck Tour. Not a whole lot but enough to probably make me want to move there permanently LOL.

My girlfriend Suzanne and I are hoping to be aboard early enough to have some lunch/brunch and get settled in somewhat ..... and then Meet & Greet :D We weren't able to make the meet & greet back in Dec. 2010 when we went to Nassau and we were disappointed :(

We found that the Best Western (not sure which one at the airport) offers a shuttle to the Port ... not sure what it charges. We are staying there the night of the 2nd. Figure if we get up early enough we should be fine :D

It's almost time everyone! How exciting! Here is the information for the meet-up

Thanks for checking into this, MrHappy!

I don't know that there'd be 16 people together for this charter shuttle. I'm sure most people needing to get back to Seattle already have there plans. We were late comers so are now having difficulties with this last piece.

Woo hoo!!!  We got our cruise documents yesterday! This trip is getting closer and closer...

Thanks for looking into the group rate Mr. Happy. As I mentioned before, we have the car rental, so I think we're going to stick with that. Good luck!

Yay! I'm quite jealous - still waiting for our stateroom assignment here...

There may be 5 weeks to go before boarding the Wonder, but we're going to have a special Disney treat this Sunday, as we take DS for his first symphony orchestra experience. I'm a part-time musician (mostly amatueur), so this was going to come sometime ;) ...

Pixar in Concert, presented by the San Francisco Symphony :charac2:pixiedust::goodvibes

From the Toy Story trilogy to The Incredibles and UP, Pixar has forever impacted filmmaking and given audiences of all ages some of the most beloved characters in cinematic history. Now, for the first time ever, the San Francisco Symphony presents the world premiere of Pixar in Concert, with visually stunning clips and memorable scores from each of Pixar's movies, including their latest release, Brave, performed live by the Symphony. Pixar’s Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter will introduce the program from the stage on July 28, and Director Pete Docter will introduce the program on July 29.

SO excited!! :cool1:

That's crazy! I wonder when they do them. I don't know if I could take that kind of anxiety! :rotfl2: What category did you book? Maybe you'll end up on deck 7 - there are a lot of us there!

I love the pictures of you guys, your son is adorable! The symphony looks fun. Hope you guys have a good time.

AprilN, you might try going onto the website and see if it shows there. I never got a notice or email or anything, I just went online and it showed there. Use the code they gave you and your BD is all you need. I booked a few weeks ago and still haven't got my paper work, but I'm pre-boarded already. :rotfl2:

They had my BD wrong so I wasn't able to get in for a while. Then I called to ask and they told me why.

Oh, I've been checking the DCL website every day, believe me. :p We booked VGT, and from what I've heard, these are typically assigned 2 weeks out, so I've got a ways to go. It's going to be a looooong 3 weeks, to not even know what category, let alone which stateroom. But at least we know it's a verandah!

Hi Cinderelley ... .:wave2:....oooooh yes ::yes:: we are doing the FE's. It was a last minute decision to participate (been a bit of a rough year for the 2 of us) but we couldn't pass it up. We had an awesome time doing it on our Dec 2010 cruise ... so we will just use the FE I made from that one :woohoo:We are SOOOOOO excited!!!!:woohoo:

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been MIA a bit... We are moving this week! We finish moving out today, then we have an adoption training all weekend, then we get to unpack and clean the old house! I think I will be SOOOO ready for vacation by sept 3rd!

So glad we are getting more people! And Jen, cruise documents already!! Yay!

April, I was GTY and got my assignment almost 2 weeks ago with an upgrade. Hope you get your room soon!
