So, I was surfing the boards, and came across a thread on "must haves" when taking a cruise... I went thru and made a list, and thought I'd share in case anyone was interested... Here you go...

1. Gallon Ziploc bags – helps save keepsake items/helps pack damp clothes/etc
2. Small light-up travel clock - if you want to see time if you wake up in the middle of the night
3. Hair dryer - they have in some rooms/not a strong one though
4. Over door Shoe Organizer – use to store items instead of clutter counters/also prevents items from sliding off counters
5. Small can Lysol
6. Wrinkle free spray – if you don’t want to be wrinkled
7. Tide Wipes/Shout pen
8. Highlighter
9. White erase board
10. Outlet strip to for charging phones/ipods/games
11. Plastic cup (especially if you are bringing on your own beverages)
12. A sheet of preprinted address labels – saves you from having to write out the luggage tags for departure/and can use if you mail items
13. Sunscreen
14. Camera/Charger/Extra memory card
15. Travel size first aid kit/meds
16. Candy/snacks for the shows/movies (those aren’t free on the ship, and are pricey)

I also heard you want to take velcro strips to help keep stuff from moving or making noise like at night.

I know they don't know about part of it... but Do they know about any of it? You could tell them the disney part and then set up the phone call to go to your hotel the morning you leave for the cruise.

from what I understand they cannot call the hotel room since it is an automated call (can't dial ext)...

That part is ok because we are telling them we are going to the beach... Will just make a detour to the port first it's kinda true when you think about it

I'm thinking you told them about the parks. It would have been cool just to plan for the Disney Transportation and then let the Bus tell them when it pulls up and you say "Here's our ride." They would then get the experience of the prep the bus gives for the cruise.

Or get the taxi... tell them you're going to take a tour of Port Canaveral and when you get there say "Hey, you want to see if we can hope a ride." That's what we did with Emma at the train station.

We are planning on telling them the morning of the flight or else they will never go to sleep... or maybe will play a game the night before or tell a story... Since my brother is coming with us it changes the plans a bit.

I packed my suitcase, the boys suitcase, the cruise suitcase & our carry on. Al that is left is Dave suitcase, he does that himself (last minute of course) and clean the house! yes I am one of those clean clean before we leave. It is a wonderful feeling to come home to a spotless house.

I just thought of something.. I tend to be a person that always has WAY TOO much, I'm hoping I don't forget to pick up magnetic tape and I hope I get way to much but if anyone forgets anything just ask if I have it because I tend to have WAY TOO much. It's sad because as I'm packing, I'm thinking of you all.

I am a clean the house person and started this weekend, partially because the switch from summer to fall. Took out the AC's today. I figure if I start now, then it will be a quick clean up for when we leave.

I really should get off of the computer and do laundry or something!

My GOODNESS you are busy! I dont like busy weekends because it makes the weekend go by that much faster but then again with THIS weekend, that would be good because it gets us to the cruise that much faster.

I was up until 1 am doing an outfit for someone and woke up at 6am??? I have no idea except for Cruise! If I keep this up all week, i am going to sleep through my whole cruise!

Gotta go finish the shirts so I can mail them off.

I am totally clueless.. Something you guys need to know about me... I don't know anything about anything important to the common person. No clue of soap operas, actors, actresses, what's in the news,.... nothing. Emma is more up on things than I am.

No, No... I didn't think you were making fun at me. I should have gotten it, as I have seen that movie (although a LONG time ago). I thought she was correcting you. It just went all over my head, and I'm just way too tired from the last few days.

Talked to my mom this morning, and things went back downhill for my uncle during the night. Wait and see, wait and see. Hopefully, he will pull thru, but it just is not looking good. At least they have him medicated so that he won't feel or remember what is going on if he does pull thru all this. This is the first morning the nurse hasn't been real positive. She's been a wonderful nurse, and mom said you could just look and her and tell she was worried about the situation. I'll keep you guys posted.

Oh and I'm still trying to find the right place to hide the camera's to videotape Emma. Good news... The camera that Emma got as a gift that broke, we sent it back not knowing when we would get it... it came yesterday. It was cheap so if it breaks on the trip I'm chucking it.

Lori (from NY) - aren't you within your 10 day window so that you can do on-line check-in thru DVC website??? My 10 days was today so I used the Online Checkin for DVC. They didn't have that option in December when we went, so this is the first time we used it... It wasn't quite as easy to find that link as it says, but we're all checked in for Bay Lake Towers!

Oh i know, but at the same time, it's a great escape after a long day when you got four of them going at each other all the time. It's the only time it is quiet.
