I used to work that shift. It was may first supervisory job out of college. We affectionately called it the graveyard shift. Especially since we all agreed we lived like vampires. Bring lots of coke/coffee/red bull to get you through.

Hope you have a smooth night.

Did you notice the countdown is getting closer to one year? :bitelip:

I think once we are at less than a year we will be getting even more excited :Pinkbounc If that's possible!

We call it the graveyard shift too! It's okay. I usually work 3-11 which I cant stand but at least you get to crawl into bed at a decent hour!

I cant wait!!!!!!! I cant imagine being any more excited!!!!!!!

When I planned our last WDW vacation people at work were teasing me saying Oh how many more days 1498! Then they said all of a sudden it was 2.
Cant wait!!!!!!!1 :cloud9:

Where do you work? If you don't mind... It almost sounds like you work at a hotel. That's where I worked and those were the shifts.

Hope TaeJa had a great vacation. I am so glad it's the weekend. My DS comes back tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it. :Pinkbounc

I love watching your countdown clocks. Although 13 months and three weeks sounds better, I like the day countdown timer better. I just couldn't figure out how to get it to work so I settled. I am thinking about making a "number of days left" pull off countdown for my apartment when we get to 90 days out. :hourglass That way I know how much longer I have to shop and organize! I am waiting until 2006 to get the PassPorter. I have last year's when I thought I would go this year. Not buying the 2005 edition since I will go so late in '06.

Another weekend of activities. Although I love the summer, it can get hectic not having any down time. I am thinking I need to take a nap on Sunday to recover. Otherwise coming back to work may be too much for me to handle. :charac2: I know poor me. I guess I should look at the fact my job is helping pay for my Wonder trip and just use that as an appreciation tool. :earboy2:

Almost I work in a hospital. I'm a nurse in the Emergency Room.

I hope Taeja is having a nice vacation too!!!!!

Are you doing anything Special when your son comes home?

Vicki, my friend is a nurse and she loves working ER. Here they make them work 12 hour shifts and since she is a single mom she had to stop because of the hours. She is trying to get back into it and hopefully it will work out. If they were 8 hour shifts it might be easier.

Due to hurricane DS got home later. Had to leave out of Ft Lauderdale instead of Fort Myers. We went to a friends and hung out for a little bit. Yesterday we went to their neighborhood pool. It had two different size diving boards. Apparently that was enough incentive for my DS to swim without floaties :rotfl: He finally did it. Took off the floaties and just starting swimming like a fish. It was wild. I stayed in the water with him and "caught" him as he went off the diving board. Just reached out my hand to make sure he came back up. It was awesome. Came home and watched "Are We There Yet" (he got it for his birthday) ate some pizza and just relaxed. We were both exhausted.

Hope you had a great weekend!

TaeJa: If you are back, let us in on how your vacation went.

Thank God we dont have to do 12 hours. We can if we want but I cant! With my DH working shifts someone needs to be with the kids. Besides I cant last 12 hours. I like the ER to, would never go back to the floor.

Sounds like you guys had fun! Good for your son!!! DD loves to swim too!

I got promoted with a big fat raise!!!! (of course I am grossly underpaid so that doesn't say much :earsboy: )

Thought I would share since I have been venting. This requires some celebration

This is the first time I've logged in since we left last Monday. I'm still in recovery mode from vacation. Laudry is every where! I haven't gone back and read all ya'll posts since I've been gone. I have DIS catching up to do.

Just noticed Kerry's promotion post. And she got TOP spot on our cruise thread as well! CONGRATULATIONS!

Take care gals, I'll try checking and posting on our thread later.

Hi Vicki! How was your son's trip?!

I hope all are doing well and are trying to stay dry. I'm constantly checking the weather radar to see if Indy will see any rements of Dennis. We are in such need of rain. I don't like walking on crunchy brown grass.

I can't believe after being away a week the laundry is piled so high. I even did laundry while on vacation to AVOID doing more laundry at home. Aurgh!

Hello to all and are there any new 9/3/06 cruisers out there? Did you all see Jenn31's post about the possible charter cruise? CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG (please), if they don't get their act together DCL will open the blocked dates 7/31/05. :cheer2: Was that the right day Jenn31?

Well, the dryer is calling me. I gotta go. Take care all and have a great night! :teeth:

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you had a great time TaeJa. Haven't heard from Jenn31 in a while. Hopefully she still plans on going on our cruise. Plus the other mystery cruiser is booked but waiting to tell her family before announcing it on the our thread. No new additions since you have been gone.

Sorry about the laundry. Unfortunately it's one of the prices you pay to go on vacation. ::yes::

Question for you all: If you could only do one, would you do Palo brunch or Palo dinner? I am not sure I could do both although I want to try. What do you think? :listen:

Hi TaeJa Welcome back!!!!
Wasnt Jenn31 going to WDW? :confused3
I hate laundry! Well I dont mind doing it I just hate putting it away! :rotfl:

Kerry I think we are going to do the brunch. Since this is our first cruise I dont want to miss the regular dinning rooms. The brunch is on the sea day DD wants to do the kids club so she can eat with the kids club and we can eat at Palos. JMHI :Pinkbounc

Wish we were leaving tomorrow! :boat:

I had to work this weekend. It was really nice not that busy. I also had to work yesterday and we paid for the nice weekend. Mondays are always bad, but this was really bad! :headache: :scared: :earseek:

I think Mondays always stink. Mine do. Hope your Tuesday is better.

Didn't realize Jenn31 was at Disney. Probably missed the dates. Saw where she asked about it. Wish I was with her :cool2: Okay I really wish I was on the cruise :sunny: :boat: :drinking1 :drinking: :thewave:
