That is an awesome picture! The palm trees stand out like crazy! They kinda look like they were photoshopped in because they've got sun on them :) :)

Okay, all these pictures are officially making me want to go back!

Phew! Where is the smiley wiping the sweat from his brow? :confused3

The drywall compound is on and sanded. The patched areas have been primed. AND, the trim is dying. I think that is officially enough for today. Tomorrow, we tape and paint! I'll have to post before and after shots. And maybe one inbetween.....

So, this is our first house. I'm sure you homeowners out there can relate to the frustration of bad home repairs done by former owners, right? I assume this is normal? Because the people who lived here before us tried very hard to do things themselves......but they weren't very good at it. For instance, they did paint the entire house in lovely warm colors, but they didn't tape anything off. So there is a very fine line between baseboard and wall, and sometimes it's hard to tell which is which! :rotfl:

And while I am complaining, let me just say that I think cousin it must have been the one who last painted the trim. I swear, I pulled enough hair off of the wall to make a small animal.

Off to shower and go shopping. Happy Saturday!

Alright, so they just released a study that I go to the second cheapest college in the nation. Hahahah. wow. Isn't that classy?

I don't know why but my tuition is ten times cheaper than the tuition of the main campus. Even though, in the end, my degree will say its from the main campus. It'll look like I graduated from West Virginia University-- at like a quarter of the cost!

Just thought I'd share .. hehe.

Wow Patsy you are truly lucky!:goodvibes My tuition is...:scared1: through the roof!:lmao:

I was pretty impressed, I can't lie! Tuition is one of the main reasons I haven't transferred (other than the fact that I loathe the WVU campus itself) because I knew it was considerably cheaper-- but the second cheapest in the entire US? Wow. LOL.
I only pay $72.75 a credit hour, with a max of $873 a semester.
It's hard to justify a transfer (other than this campus doesn't offer my actual major) whenever its that cheap and the diploma will say the same thing either way! :rotfl:

Wow. I feel jipped.:rotfl2: My tuition is close to 14,000. And my total comes close to 24,000...:scared: Course I do get a good refund back because that includes estimated costs for books and traveling (don't ask...:rotfl: ) and I pay for my books with my credit card not my loan. Only problem is I seem to spend all of my refund instead of paying it back...:( :lmao:

Oh don't feel about spending your refund.. I was paying out of pocket for my tuition .. used hs graduation money to pay for the first year and then worked two jobs to save up money for later, didn't want to have to pull loans.

what happened? I decided to go to Disney World freshman year in December and then found a great rate for a September 06 DCL cruise in November and booked that and THEN in January got approached by my honors professor about the study abroad trip.. and ended up pulling back loans on my first two semesters to pay for that.

All that working and saving got me nowhere but on vacation and in DEBT!

Guess in the long run, though, you've got much more to pay off than me. Ouchies! 14000? My entire degree won't cost that much!

Well it's 14,000 a year. I think you said your rate was per semester? I don't know how it breaks down per semester...except that WITH room and board it's something over 11,000. But still scary stuff...:rotfl:

Yes, that is scary stuff! :scared1:
I get billed per semester and get a rebate every semester on my student loans.
Tuition caps out at 873 a semester and then there are always other various fees and of course, I don't have room and board soooo. It's under a grand a semester.

Part of the reason yours is so expensive though, is because its out of state right?

Yeah. For instate tuition to UNCW for a full year it's something like 5,000. But if there was an instate university in Maryland for under 1,000 I might have stayed put!:rotfl:

No kidding, it would have been worth it for sure!
I'm having troubles justifying staying put though for much longer. It's easy right now because I'm just taking basic, basic classes that will transfer anywhere. The division of WVU I go to doesn't offer my major, so I'd have to transfer to the main campus or transfer somewhere else.
Luckily Chase will start paying my tuition this fall if I decided I want to stick with them. They'll pay up to 2500 for p/t employees or 5K for f/t. Except I can't transfer to the main campus to finish my degree and stick with them at the same time. It's tricky and I can't make my mind up! Stay here and have the rest of my degree paid for (but have it in something I don't want) or transfer and pay lots of money like you
There is a private college across the river from my house-- you could seriously see it from my window if there weren't trees- but it's something like 20K a year too because it's in Ohio and PRIVATE. They offer a 5K scholarship to students who live in this county (since we're right across the river) but even then that is a TON of money!

The office painting is done! whew...

Still have to remove the tape, move the furniture back, and tidy up. But once that is done, I will post before and after pics! ;)
