Funny story. I had been bugging to go out to Disneyland for a couple years to see what it was like. You know...compare the two parks? Of course I knew it was a shoe-in for Disney World...but ya gotta experience them both to make the decision! In 04 we were gonna go to WDW for Labor Day Weekend cause Holly's *insider* information said that Labor Day isn't a crowded time. But as luck would have it, a hurricane it. Last minute (literally...it was the night BEFORE we were to leave in the morning) my dad switched us to go out to LA to go to Disneyland!!:teeth: I was PUMPED!:rotfl: I was all excited to see the castle. When we get there...this is what I see:

They were renovating it for the 50th celebration and had it all covered up.:guilty: I was a sad little senior.:p But then for something different last year our summer vacation was to DL instead of WDW so I got to see the castle for real!:goodvibes

Bye Taeja!

Yeah, I have to sit down and do that with my pictures. I already did it with the cruise but haven't done Europe yet.

IT'll be a good surgery recovery task, though.

Our Keys to the Kingdom tour guide told us that DL's Castle is two feet taller than the christmas tree in magic kingdom :) hehe.

That would be such a bummer!

Bye T!

Question, someone posted on another thread that you have 5 days to put down a deposit on a DCL reseravation. They'll hold it for you for 5 days. Does anyone know if that's true? :confused3

DH is from Chicago. :scared:

1) I think that's if a TA makes the reservation for you. If you call yourself I THINK you have to pay right then and there!!!

2) sorry:scared1:

Are you going to call on 1/31? Will you be using a TA?

Man that's impossible! DL's castle is the size of my house!:rotfl:

I think it will be extremely hard to get through on 1/31 so maybe 2/1 and i will call myself and switch to my TA when I see they are offering room credit on Disney:goodvibes

okay!
Im currently uploading a video of Rink frolicking in the backyard..

Oh my gosh I cannot tell you how disappointed I was! Give me a couple minutes and I might post a real picture of the castle for you all!:goodvibes

I went to Disney land once for my senior year of high school (the dark ages)and I don't really remember the size of the castle??:confused3 Too busy looking for cute guys probably:rolleyes1

I'm using Dreams Unlimited again. I liked them and I got a cool "Group Amenity Gift" from them!

It's going to be very interesting, that's for sure! :lmao: I think the majority of people that will call the first day will be the CA cruisers.

Here's one to give you perspective:

And just in case anyone wants to know...I just received word from Holly saying that we are probably going to Disney World in May!:goodvibes

I've been stalking(:lmao: ) the repo meet threads and they are all going to be calling at 8:00 on the 31st. There are people who are afraid they will sell out THAT day.:sad2:
