Wow, you guys are already packing for the cruise??

I'm not completely ready packing to head to Florida and I uh.. leave soon. Was technically supposed to have left by now.
I head to New York tomorrow.. to start my Study Abroad trip.
Which I haven't packed for yet either.
Haha.

So.. are you guys just crazy or am I a procrastinator?

I just have to share this!!!
My DH's aunt asked us about DCL today. I couldn't blab enough about it. They have a 6yr. old and Lesa kept asking and asking. Wouldn't it be cool if I could sell her to the idea of crusing DCL??? Of course, we'd have to go with them (maybe) if they decide to cruise. Oh darn, another DCL. I don't think they'd have to twist our arms very hard to get us to go with them in the future.


I just went to send a DCL dvd to my aunt and here's the last line of the fill in the information form. Pretty interesting info huh?

Hello Californian! Glad to have you with us! Here's a summary of the cruise thread thus far:

We'd love for you to link your dining with us (1st seating).

We're making t-shirt transfers on lime green shirts

We're making/creating crusin' goodies bag (for the kids who are participating)

We're having several DIS meets: One at the terminal prior to boarding, One at sail away location TBD, and a third meet on Nassau day (I'm heading that one) time TBD

We're creating/ordering lime green rememberance bracelets for all of us - lime green with a cruise related phrase on it.

(I'd do a search for the t-shirt design pic and the phrase, but the DIS server is STILL acting up. Sorry).

Any thing else fellow cruisers?

We'd love to have you join us where ever you feel comfortable. Most importantly, NJBill will be our head weather poster. He's going to keep us posted on any swirls he sees in the Atlatic ocean.

I also hope to swap out more personal information like cell phone numbers and cabin numbers via e-mail so that we can stay in contact with one another before, during, and after the cruise since we are in hurricane season.

My only worry is that the bed's will be way to short. I read a trip report that said her DH was 5'11" and his feet hung off the bed. I'm 5'11" and can sleep on my side in fetal position but DBF is 6'3" and I know that would not be possible. For those of you that have sailed before- Do you remember if the beds are exceptionally short?

I am also 5'11" and my DH is 6'1" We didn't have any problems with the length of the beds last time we sailed. I will tell you though that I did fall asleep before my head hit the pillow most nights though so bed length was the last thing on my mind. I was pregnant and I was bummed how exhausted I was at the end of each night. 9:00PM came and boom I was done!

We have two DD's one is going to be 10 and the other will be 4 when we sail. We also have some friends joining us so we will be a party of 10. My DH made the reservations so I am a little lost. I need to get on the phone with The Walt Disney Travel Company and figure a few things out. How do you link the dining? I need to find out what the group wants or what we have for that matter. Oh, Ker-Bear, where are you Kerry?

Lori- I hope you'll jump in our the thread. We'll be watching the weather avidly, shop the sales for cruise items, chat about our pending trips, etc.. There's lots of great info here on the DISboards cruise info, WDW info, you could probably research for more info on POR.

What part of Disney does your dh work for may I ask? Is he in Burbank?

Lori- Glad you can join our thread! To answer the linking dining: You can either have a table for just your group in the DIS area (the area I am creating with a coordinator's assistance) or you can sit at a table with other DISer's (in the same dining area). The choice is yours. Right now, the linked dining is for early dining. I can however link the late dining as well if we have DISer's that are interested in that too. Given the time change I can imagine that may be the choice for those coming from the west coast. If you are interested, please PM me your names and the number traveling in your party, your dining rotation and cabin numbers. Sometime in late July, I will need the confirmation number but do not need it now.
