:bday: party: Happy belated birthday, Dawn! Hope it was a great one!

My DD had her dance recital last weekend. We were busy busy busy too. Yikes, hard to believe what an ordeal that is! Glad it's over but now summer dance starts for us the day after tomorrow :scared1:

LOL Did I mention that no one else has signed up to be backstage mom, so I'm responsible for 10 little girls? And have I also mentioned that they're dancing to a bridal theme, so I'm responsible for 10 little girls in white? :earseek:

I put my foot down and refused to do dance camp...we'll do day camp at the local trampoline place instead. :bounce:

Wrap them all up in saran wrap until its time to go up. LOL :lmao: or make 'em wear rain ponchos.

Little tidal waves have come up re our cruise. Its all straightened up now (depending on which DCL assoicate I talk with). I freaked out after talking with the first DCL assoc. It showed our cruise as "cancelled". My stress level shot up and my heart just dropeed as you all would/could relate. Then I talked with a CC club assoc. and he told me the same thing w/more detail. After those two calls I called my TA in a panic. By then DH came home and I called again using our confirmation numbers and she said we were o.k.. DH check via online as well and it showed we're o.k.. ((Thank God for calm spouses)). We've yet to make our final payment. So, I'm sitting on pins and needles until we can make our ressies. So, I'll be munching on popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: waiting. ((I hadn't tried using the popcorn smilie again. thanks for telling me))

How cool Dawn and Vicki sharing the same birthday within days of each other. :cheer2:

Congratulations to you all for paying off your cruises' could I have a loan? Oh, I see a theme of being broke here....never mind. I'll just call uncle Roy D.

Our cruise is getting closer and closer! :yay: gosh, 88 days 'til Kerry leaves. We're below the 100day mark all! :jumping1:

yes, def congrats on Flouders! You lucky gal!

Have a great day all! :sunny:

My DD dances with the Y. She was in two different routines this year, one dance in a 2:00 recital, and one in the 6:00 show. We left the house at 1:00 and didn't get back until after 9! Talk about a long day! She's signed up for one summer dance class, that's it. Soon it will be time to start choosing classes for the fall. If she didn't love it so much we wouldn't do it. It never seems to overwhelm her (only me :rotfl2: :lmao: )

My daughter took dance and tap and played baseball (made all-stars) last year, but this year lost interest and did not want to do any of those things. Same with my two boys, no baseball or wrestling...I did not push the the issue and my daughter has talked a little about dance again... :confused3

I am unsure if I posted or read this here already..but here we go anyway.. :confused3

If you would like to get a first-hand report on your stateroom follow this link and type in your stateroom number
http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomreport_search.htm

I was concerned about being on Deck 8 (8558) and the noise above us... It does not appear like it will be an issue, although some folks swear they would never stay on deck 8 again??? :confused3

What!!! :confused3 Why would they tell you it was cancelled? I would have had an emotional breakdown :badpc:

My stateroom isn't listed on that report. I hope it will be quiet enough. The only times I will be there is to get dressed, sleep and partake in adult rated activities ;) :love2: I don't care about the location all that much.

My only worry is that the bed's will be way to short. I read a trip report that said her DH was 5'11" and his feet hung off the bed. :eek:I'm 5'11" and can sleep on my side in fetal position but DBF is 6'3" and I know that would not be possible. For those of you that have sailed before- Do you remember if the beds are exceptionally short? :scratchin

We have a bunch of birthdays around the same time! Mine is June 12th

Happy Birthday Gemini's! :cake:

: O.k., I don't/didn't know what to make of this until I saw post #9 of the thread provided here. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1125008. I'm getting more curious as to what this BIG announcement could be. I hope some one posts tomorrow about what this big announcement was/will be!

Kerry, you could have your coffee table pushed against your bed and then prop pillows on top of it to make it level with the bed. Maybe that would give you some extra foot room. I'm not sure how long the beds are. Interested in a double hammock? Sorry, I'm being smug or extremely stupid here. :sad2

I am so glad we don't have to go through that fiasco of the DVC/CVD/BVD cruise again. That had me on pins and needles more than this slight hicup. I guess you have to spin the wheel of truth when you call the DCL operators. I guess its better to call more than once so that you can put the puzzle of truth together.

Thanks Bill for the link. I'll check it out. Mr. weather, how's the weather? See any swirls yet? I guess you could bring earplug just incase your room does end up a little louder than normal. I'm sure, like me, you won't be in your room too much. By the time I'll be done w/ my activities for the day I'll be so tired, I won't hear any thing. Although I did hear our closet door slam from side to side. Sure wish we had bungee cords or duct tape then....

I'm so glad your kids are involved in tap/ballet/jazz/hula/karate/irish step etc.. Nice cool indoor activities. Robyn's doing softball and man, the weather's getting much warmer. I'm almost begging her to want to try tap (I think she'd like it) so I can sit inside! Cam's already signed up for peewee tag football too. :sad2:

Bring pretzels & water, that's all our dancers were allowed to have. :rotfl:

how about feeding them through an IV? No, that wouldn't work, we wouldn't want 10 little fainting brides before they go on stage... :lmao:

LOL! This is our fourth recital, and I've always been a backstage mom. I guess that they didn't feel that 1 mom for 10 girls was enough, because today they recruited one more mom. :rotfl: Aw, shucks, I won't be in total control! Though, I think that saran wrap idea is a really good one...

Do you guys think it's too early to start packing? I was kind of looking through my clothes today, and I can kind of pack some of them without missing them during the summer.

I've got a china hutch that is holding my cruisin' goodies and some other items for the cruise. Packing now I think would be tough. I'd be so tempted to wear what I've stowed away....unless you buy duplicate of every thing. Sorry, for the dumb humor I should be asleep by now.

I do have princess nightgowns tucked away for the girls and I'm trying to hide new swim suits as well. I've also got mickey head shaped hair bows. I hope my snooping son won't find the Disney Store bag..... :rolleyes1
