Oh, I meant to mention....I went to the zoo toady and what was I doing? Looking at people's feet to see who was wearing crocs! I couldn't believe what I was doing. Well, I only counted 3 and they were on preteen to young kids. It was a beautiful warm day so the zoo was packed. I'm sure this trend will explode by the end of Summer.

Crocs seem to be big here already. I first saw them in November, some guy was wearing red ones at the U2 concert that I went to in Tampa. Now I see that Walmart has mock crocs. Even kids in DDs kindergarten class are wearing them. We don't have any yet... not sure if we'll jump on this fad or not. Time will tell.... :hourglass

Boy, I really hope their not a fad. I'm sure that some people are only wearing them because they're popular, but they're very comfortable, and extremely useful. I like them a lot better than watersocks!

I went and looked at the Wal-Mart version of the crocs tonight. I would not recommend them at all--they were very hard, and they looked like they were just waiting for an excuse to fall apart. Bleck! :sad2:

:earseek:

Good grief, Tae Ja, go to bed! You're going to be exhausted in the morning. It's even late for me!

I'm going to bed now...I expect you to do the same! :cloud9:

As we are spending 4 days in WDW on land prior to the cruise, I have been busy planning the land portion of our trip,so i can then focus on the cruise part. My wife chooses to not get involved too much, and she has been generally happy with my abilites over the years....I have "the book" where I document eveything, print out pictures, tips, etc.. and add stuff each week..
The kids like to look at it when we are riding in the car...As we take Amtrak to Florida, she usually looks at it in detail on the way down...Yesterday, she saw a picture I printed out of the Cheeseburgers they serve at Cosmic Ray's (will be eating lunch there) and said that was way too much detail and I need to get a life....

I enjoy the planning stages, while some folks do not.. being an Accountant by trade, I have a natural tendancy to plan and organize...some think too much...

How much do you guys plan...My neighbor will be in WDW the same time as us.. His philosophy is to "just show up" and "go with the flow".. which I could NEVER do!!!!

Good morning cruisers! :sunny: pirate: :sail:

 :scared1:
I'm not a "go with the flow" kind of gal when it comes to WDW. I'm more of a Type A personality. Even for our 13th trip to WDW back in March (which was only 3 day weekend for my DH and me) I had a sectioned notebook with our plans. :rolleyes1 Don't get me wrong, I don't freak out when things don't go according to plan, I am able to "go with the flow" WHEN I'm on vacation. But there must always be a plan, and I must always have it written down in my notebook. ;) :rotfl2:

I also do not get too upset if we improvise somewhat when we actually arrive. It is a planning tool and helps with time management.

My DH did a lot of research before our first DCL cruise. He found Daves dcl tribute and would bug me reading the menu and other info from the website. I found the DIS and we'd lay in bed talking about what we found on our websites.

I don't think there's such thing as overplanning, but I do believe you have to go with the flow. I don't think there is any thing wrong w/ having a picture of the hamburger you want to eat. I had tons of pictures and bridal books tucked away since I was maybe 5 (not that young, but all I had to do was "insert groom here" by the time I got married).

As with our Sept. cruise, who knows what's going to happen. I'm hoping for a smooth emarbarking/disbarking, no interary changes unless we go to CC first and/or we skip Nassau, I do not want to embark at another port. I've got to walk through the Mickey ears and see the floor again. Let's see, did I mention smooth sailing??

When we drove down to FLA in '04 Charley was gone another hurricane was on its way. We were driving inbetween the hurricane fronts and had the most georgous weather! Ivan was on its way to FL as we were sailing and Jeanne chased us out of Fla after the cruise and one day at WDW.

Sure our vacation was a little tense, but we had to make the best of things since our vacation was already paid for! The kids had no clue as to what was going on and they really didn't need to know what was going on. I think we told them that God was making a big storm and we needed to hurry up, but that was about it.

I hope I'm not rambling.Have a great Friday all!

I'm thinking about getting my own pair of airwalks or if crocs are at a really great pricemaybe I'll get them. I'll be keeping my eye out for them.

:rotfl: :rolleyes2

I am a compulsive planner but not organized enough to write everything down. I have a packing list and the 2006 Passporter and that will be about all the planning materials I will bring.

My biggest plan is to have an amazing vacation with my family and friends. The details are important and I think I have most of it covered.

Unexpected twists and turns because of the weather won't bother me too much either. As long as I have a margarita or a Tropical Lifesaver :drinking1 to wash away the changes, I will be all good :thumbsup2

Since we are all being complusive planners I have a question:

I noticed in some trip reports that some of the Wonder cruisers who got there early and were assigned group 2, were able to board at 11:30. Now don't get me wrong I can't wait to meet all of you but when they call my number I want to be able to get on. Do you think we should do the meet a little earlier, leave it at 11:30 in the terminal or change it to onboard?

I'll be with you. I hope to be boarding at 11:30am as well. I love you all, but hey, if I can get onboard earlier, I'm there! Can you feel the love?

Hmmm. I'll have to think about your post and get back to you.

On our previous cruises, we are always early...as we have elected Disney Transfers from resort..we do not board the BUS until 12:00 so we will be there much later than usual...save me some food......:(

Meeting time is a good question. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone too, but I have no idea (yet) as to what time we'll be arriving at the port. We're spending the night in Cocoa Beach the night before, but we'll be going to church before we head to the port. Not sure what time services will be over. :confused3 I hope to be there by 11:00 or 11:30, but that's probably later than most of you will get there. I wouldn't dare want to hold anyone up (not that I could ;) :teeth: ). Is anyone booked in one of those huge suites that we could meet in? :teeth: Maybe we should try to find out who booked the Walt Disney suite and become buddies with them. :teeth: :rotfl2:

Where do you eat first????
We are planning Lunch at Parrot Cay..we like the Carribbean atmosphere to get us in the mood....and the food always good :)

I am not a huge planner. I like to learn about everything and then let things fall where they will. I'm sure on the cruise we'll all come up with some kind of game plan. Within our party of 10, we have tossed around some ideas for excursions but haven't decided on anything just yet. Then again, we have to take the ages of the kids (2 to 15) into consideration. It will be more of a wait and see game, as far as who likes the kids clubs, if the little guy likes Flounders, and if the teens decide to stay in the teen club or do their own thing. Since we go to WDW frequently, we can afford to just let things happen on their own. We know there's always a next time, if something doesn't get ridden this time.

We're planning on getting to port as early as possible. We'll be at WDW the night before but are planning on hiring a car to get us to port. Our theory is the earlier we can get on that ship, the better!

Not sure where we'll be eating when we first board. The thing that's certain is that we WILL BE EATING! :lmao: :rotfl: :teeth:

Parrot Cay is where we will go then head over to the Mickey pool so the kids can slide before the madness begins. I have heard they try to force you to go to BBB but if you insist (which I am very good at  ) they will let you go to Parrot Cay

If we are wearing the wrist bands then I think we will be easy to spot. Plus not to be un-politically correct, my boyfriend is african american and I am white. I am 5"11 and he is 6'3". We are kind of hard to miss. :lmao:

For our trip in 2003 which was my daughters first trip we stayed for 16 days. I planned for over 2 years! My family thought I was crazy and so did my co-workers especially when I said only 1000 more days!

Why dont we keep the meeting time at the terminal for all those who are early and need something to kill time before they call our number and plan a bigger one on board when everyone is there. Are most of us linking the dinning?
