I forgot about the bridge tour.

Well we just booked our flight so we are set :cool1:  :Pinkbounc

IS IT TIME YET? :hourglass :jumping1: :thewave:

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend. We got back from Orlando last night. Mickey's Not So Scary was crowded, but we had a great time! We also went trick-or-treating around Sea World. DD got to use both costumes, she LOVED it. We are ready for the cruise! :cool1:

Welcome home! So, glad you had such a great time! I love DD's pirate costume! So, what does WDW look like decorated for Halloween, I've never been.

Wow! Lisa, she looks great. the down side of not having girls :sad2: no princess outfits!!!

the weather here is nice. cool in the am but in the upper 70's and :sunny: during the day.

WDW looked eeeeerie this Halloween season. The decorations aren't as abundant for Halloween as they are for Christmas but they still got their point across. There was fog near the Haunted Mansion as well as in front of the castle...especially when the villains were performing. Halloween music was playing throughout the park. There was face painting for the kids as well as photo ops with Princesses, Cinderella's carriage and the customary group photo. Everyone was given bags for trick-or-treating, the candy was offered throughout the park. The parade and Hallo-wishes (fireworks show) were both awesome! My only regret is not being able to do everything. We were only there for the H'ween party, we didn't have any other opportunities to enjoy the rides this trip. We had to choose between taking advantage of the special Halloween activities offered or riding our favorite rides. The rides (very short lines) won out most of the time since the Halloween activities had all the long lines!

So, are the characters dressed different too? Do they make their costumes more Halloweenish or are they still the same? I don't think I've been to DL around Halloween time. The not so scarry halloween idea must be fairly new. Since the '90s? Wow, what a fun way to trick-or-treat walking around your favorite park. If only we lived closer to either land! Awesome idea!

:scratchin DISer question of the day is.....

Who lives closest to Port Canaveral?

:rolleyes1 Can you hear me whistling the Jeopardy music?

I am a 6 1/2 to 7 hour drive depending on traffic. My parents who are going, live in Daytona about 40-45 minutes to the port but they don't post so they don't count! :rotfl: I know Lisa is about 3 1/2 to 4 hours since I moved from there. So I know Lisa has us all beat for the four main people posting. Since we have more than 4700 views and only 757 or so posts, there are others out there. :confused3 :rotfl2:

EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT SAILING WITH US, PLEASE ANSWER TAEJA71'S POST: WHO LIVES THE CLOSET TO PORT CANAVERAL?

To be honest, I didn't really see any characters walking around so I can't answer that. Sad, isn't it? My sister in law is a WDW castmember, I will have to ask her if the characters dress up. :confused3

Kerry is right, I am about 4 hours away from Port. Anyone else?

Well I am probably the farest. Not sure how far in driving hours. We are in PA and flying to Orlando is 2 hour 10 mins.

Ok I checked on mapquest in driving time it would take us 15 hours and 33 mins.

Vicki- I think I have you beat as far as distance-barely. We're traveling from the West side of Indianapolis to Port Can. it took us 3/4 days to get there by van. Here's our distance according to Yahoo maps, Distance: 1057.2 miles Approximate Travel Time: 16 hours 15 mins.

Are there any other travelers who are traveling further than I? Here's your chance to post! ;)

O.k., DISers, how many kids are traveling with you? (not including DH's -lol!) Any age counts, they're still your kids right no matter how old they are???

We'll be traveling with three kids... two sons who'll be 15 & 13 and one DD who'll be 6 when we set sail. Then there are my friend Tammy's two boys who'll be (almost) 4 and 2. :Pinkbounc
