My eldest DD woke up first and looked through the spindles downstairs. I kept hearing "hee hee hee's" as she looked at the boxes around the tree. She ran around the house plugging in all the indoor christmas light including the tree of course. She was still making the "hee hee hee" sounds.It was so much fun watching her be so excited. We got home from church and took some family photos before the mayham began.

Here's the really cool part. It'd been raining all night and this morning until we started unwrapping our first couple of presents. THEN, IT STARTED TO SNOW! This is one day of the year that I love to have it snow. It's been snowing for over an hour. Roofs are turning white again, the grass is turning white too, it's so pretty (but cold). I am so thankful for my family (and friends too). I treasure every year we are together.

I hope you all had a great Christmas morning (and day) too!

Fell asleep driving home, with his car on cruise control. He hit a semi-truck and got his car lodged under it and died..

It's still hard to believe, I drive down my street and see TONS of cars in his driveway. He was a really, really, really great guy. An incredible athlete, too- he was on a full scholarship at the University of Richmond..

Please pray for his families...

I'll come update soon! Things have been a bit hectic, my neighbor died while I was in Florida.

He was 19, someone I went to high school with.
Fell asleep driving home, with his car on cruise control. He hit a semi-truck and got his car lodged under it and died..

It's still hard to believe, I drive down my street and see TONS of cars in his driveway. He was a really, really, really great guy. An incredible athlete, too- he was on a full scholarship at the University of Richmond..

Please pray for his families...

Thank you guys..

He's the sixth person that has died from my high school. Five while I was attending and now him.. It's really, really unbelievable. I went to a tiny school.. Not even 90 students per grade, so of course we ALL knew each other. Just hard to accept, I guess. He was such a great guy..

A female African elephant calf, weighing in at 233 pounds, was born December 19 at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The baby elephant's mother is a 21-year-old African elephant on permanent loan from the Albuquerque Zoo that became pregnant when she mated in March 2004 with a bull on breeding loan from the Pittsburgh Zoo. Both the calf and her mother are doing well according to veterinarians and elephant managers, who are cautiously optimistic about the calf's likelihood for survival. The first-time mother experienced a very short labor, lasting approximately 16 minutes. Visitors to Animal Kingdom will eventually be able to see the calf's progress on camera monitors at Rafiki's Planet Watch. It will be several weeks before the calf and her mother will join other elephants on the savanna.

I made a key of smilies indicating who is participating in what. There isn't any pressure to join or not join an activity. The whole point of the cruise is to have fun and relax, but wouldn't it be great to have fun and relax together?!

We will be taking Amtrak from Philly to Kissimmee. We will have about 3 1/2 days on land, then go to the ship..... We have done the parks..and the cruise..but never both together..

To answer Taeja's question-We are flying down that Friday Sept 1, staying at POR then driving to port.
Our flight doesnt leave till 3pm Sept 7 so I think we are going to go see the Titanic exhibit.
