Welcome NJBILL!

I just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a safe, fun filled night!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year you guys!..

We'll also be flying out of Pittsburgh (There is a tiny airport in our town but it's just not in our budget to fly out of it- Pittsburgh is the hub anyway!)

Alright, I know I've got like 8 months to get this figured out but as a college student paying for her own education and recovering from a Christmas trip to WDW.. I need to start figuing out my money situation mighty quickly.

So.. Michael and I decided to start looking for plane tickets leaving the 2nd and returning the night of the 7th. Maybe the morning of the 8th, I have an Aunt in Altamonte Springs so a place to stay isn't a $$ factor in that decision, just the price of plane tickets.

Basically we decided we want to do something fun in Orlando the day of the 7th- everything I've read says there is plenty of time to head someplace like Kennedy Space Center or maybe even hit Universal Studios. Mike's never been to Disney World but I can't let his first visit be so short and such. It's just wrong.
When I went with my High School band in 2003 we did Wet-N-Wild, Islands of Adventure and Medival Knights Dinner Show.. and of course, Disney World, So I haven't really been out and about in Orlando and don't have a realistic concept of how long it's going to take us to get places and how much it's going to cost us to take a cab or something-- anyone know or able to offer some advice?

Thanks for the greeting.... Seems like you have things well under control.....

Weather is my hobby, so when we get closer to sailing, I will try and contibute in that area to keep everyone informed on any tropical storms that may affect our trip.

Sorry I didn't add it earlier, but I put "Weather advisor" next to your name on the Cruisers List. My bad.

And as you hinted to, hopefully there will only be tropical stoms before, during, and after our cruise! ::yes::

We've got a pretty good group going now. Let's start finalizing the t-shirt design and think about when and where we're going to meet.

Is any one reserved for the Roy or Disney suite to we can visit your cabin?

8mos is going to fly by!

I'm not sure. sorry.

Updated reply: Patsy, I would lurke on the other DIS boards. Check the theme park boards any blog related to the info you are looking for. Search the threads or be bold and post questions related to what you are looking for. I hope you find the answers you are looking for. Tae Ja

I lived in O-town for 7 years. Alt. Springs is really not near anything. A cab will probably cost you $25 each way maybe more. You could call a company that uses town cars and does flat fees. One that I remember is Mears Transportation.

My vote would be Universal Islands of Adbenture if you don't want to do Disney. Just my opinion though.

I didn't know if anyone has seen the new T shirts that you can customize at Disneyshopping.com. :confused3 They have lime green shirts (along with other colors) and a bunch of different Disney graphics to choose from. I found two pages of Hawaiian themed graphics and also Steamboat Willie but didn't notice anything with a cruise ship on it. You can also personalize the shirts with numbers, sayings or names.

Check it out when you have a chance.

Purplern, Purplern where for art thou Purplern?

Part of the reason why we aren't choosing disneyshopping is b/c there are no boat photos. There are limited phrases to choose from and I think it cost extra to put our own cruise phrase on OR it was not possible to put our cruise phrase on. I can't remember which we couldn't do.

Purplern's son has created some fun and custom image designs WITH the Wonder docked at CC. (((Maybe Vicki's son or Vicki can post those photo's again- hint hint)))).

We thought going the custom route would allow us to be more creative w/ our shirt designs. Plus, if we got our own lime green t-shirts we might be able to save cost on that too.

Sidenote: I know I will be making more t-shirt designs for our cruise besides our primary group's theme shirt.

When I emailed them they said that they would not add our saying
"It's time".

We did like the Mickey running or jumping with is hand up. I guess we could add the saying ourselves.
