I don't know if that's comforting or disturbing! :rotfl: Sometimes my two aggravate me soooo much with their fighting! Sometimes I think an only child would have been easier, but then I wouldn't have my DD.

Here's a funny story...my family was at a restaurant and my DS excused himself to go to the restroom. As soon as he was out of earshot, my DD turned to us and said, "Quick, while he's in the bathroom--am I the favorite child?"

No joke! And she was only 6 at the time! :rotfl2:
I love this story! :lmao:

Soooo...suffering insomnia here. My eyes sprang open and I couldn't get back to sleep. Then the sun came up so I figured I might as well be DISing. Where are all you east coasters?? I'm caught up and I've got nothing to reply to! :teeth:

So I'm looking at becoming a travel agent. (Jessica if you're still out there and have any advice, I'd be grateful!) Just looking right now, I don't want to get too excited and have it not work out. I'm also a little afraid that I'm looking for a job right now because I'm getting sick of people looking at me and saying, "And Dawn, what do you do? You just stay home with the kids?" Because that's not a worthy enough pursuit? :furious:

Ummm...I think that's all the exciting stuff going on in my life right now. We're *still* sick, so the doctor gave us antibiotics. He couldn't find anything specific wrong with us, so I don't know how I feel about it. I mean, if he doesn't know what it is, and there's no specific infection or anything, I hate to take antibiotics if they might not be necessary. But, I've been sick for so long and I'm so worn out that I'm grateful for *anything* that might get rid of it.

I can't think of anything else to ramble about, so I guess I'll stop. :teeth: If I think of anything more I'll post and maybe I can take up the entire page, too. :lmao:

Oh my goodness your family got socked hard. :grouphug: Hmmm, do you have access to a sweat box or sauna? You could try sweating the sickness out. I did that with the flu a couple winters ago. I shoveled the driveway and by 12 hrs. later, I was better.

I should start getting insomnia soon. You know where I'll be...here on the DIS!

I've forgot to say how nice your online albums are. I love the series where your two start getting into a tiff with each other over dd's necklace. And to see dh on stage....cool :thumbsup2

I've got to start thinking about trimming the hedges. popcorn::

Have a wonderful day/weekend all! :cheer2:

Good morning troupe!

Had too much wine with the neighbors last night......

Patsy - we can find a place for Rink I bet, WDW college program would be awesome! I can't believe you got kicked out. I don't think I could ever kick my child out of my house, but that's just me. If you can get emancipated, do it. Maybe it's better this way. *sigh*

Anyhow, let me know if you want to start looking for foster homes for Rink :thumbsup2

Awww! Puppy has love from all over. He'll be so grateful if only he could understand when I told him. I would love to do the college program. Hands down, looooooooooove it!
They've kicked me out before. Started doing it when I was 16, when I started working and basically didn't 'need' them anymore. It's their only way of controlling me cause a roof is all they give me. My computer, my clothes, my food and everything I've covered as soon as I had the funds to do so. Anyway, they suck. I'm done trying to make 'em happy, it's about me now. ;)

I'm glad Patsy reads this. What an awesome opportunity--knowing that Rink is Ok with Erica and her troupe and having the fun and experience of working at WDW. I wonder if she could keep her foot in the door at Chase Bank also!!
Pasty--Going to apply to the College program??? Keep us posted!!
Where are you now??

:rotfl2: FUNNY!! :rotfl2:
I recently posted--and if it was here, sorry for the duplication--about the time DS#1 and DS#2 were having a dispute in front of us over who we loved more. Each one said he was sure we loved the other one more. We figured we must be pretty even handed if that is what they thought.

I came back last night about 11. I haven't seen them though.

Chase is Disney's bank, to my recollection.

Thank you very much! Believe it or not, they actually staged the tiff...they felt it was a piratey thing to do. And my husband wanted on that stage bad. He's always wanted to act professionally. :goodvibes

:sad2: Patsy, your parents make me shake my head. Just be glad that you're together enough to take care of yourself without their help. I don't know if it's any comfort, but I have a very controlling mother, and our relationship got much better when I was able to be completely independent of her. But I also had to learn to tell her no even when it didn't make her happy--a very tough lesson for me, but now we get along most of the time.

They try, they're just moody. And they're getting old and I think it angers them. They've been blessed (hah?!) with being able to baby my brother his entire life but I always pushed them in every aspect I could.. I'm naturally independent.. :rotfl:

They claimed today they'll be better (they won't) and that they're going to start helping me. I think they missed the point somewhere but I'm not going to complain. Their offer of help is $40/week for food (how much do they think I eat?! ) and to pay gas since I have to commute a half hour to school. Since they're not paying for school they'll pay to get me there, ahaha. We'll see if it happens. If it does, that money is going straight into my savings account for our 2008 cruise! :rolleyes1

Oh! And they offered to watch the puppy for a semester if I wanted to do the college program.

I think I should draw up a contract..?

I ordered Rink an inmate costume today. It's got a hat and everything. Halloween night, when I give out candy, I'm going to put him in his cage out front with me, wearing that!

:lmao: That's great Patsy! I wish we were trick-or-treating at your house, Teia would LOVE seeing Rink like that! :rotfl2:

I'm so sorry to hear you have all these problems with your folks. I'm sure you're pretty used to it but it's lousy what they do to you! I hope this time, is THE TIME when they actually DO get better! You're very smart for having the attitude that you do about it all. You're a better person for it. Hang in there, and remember, you always have us to vent to. :grouphug:

I wish I had the time to go back and catch up. Life has been so hectic! I have been at the new job for two weeks now and the pace is so different. Not a bad different just a fast different. I promise to try to check in at least once a week.

I have put our name on the contact list with my TA for summer 2008 sail dates. My mom, me and Jared are going to do a 7 nighter with my aunt, uncle and their grandson that is a year older than Jared.

I had such a great time on our trip. I am putting our photos in photobucket right now and will be posting my trip report as soon as I have all my photos loaded.

I'll let you know when it is up.
