Disney Wonder Sept 3-7, 2006 Part 4

The pirate coat is almost done! I need to hem it and sew on the buttons and the final trim. It would all be done except that I had to take off the sleeves twice! I tried following the pattern and I don't know what the problem was but it didn't work. I finally made my husband put the coat on and put the sleeves over his arms and pinned them together that way. Unfortunately, I poked him a bit. But I feel confident that I've got it right this time! He'll heal.

My poor DH, he had a great idea of something to wear but it fell through at the last minute. We'll have to see what we come up with now....

I hate it, I HATE PACKING! I have too many people, too many clothes, pirate stuff, swim stuff, carry on stuff, DIS board "tips" stuff, stuff for WDW before we board, stuff to sleep in, stuff to bathe with, stuff to record wonderful memories of our trip, stuff that we bought Tammy's kids, stuff to eat at the movie theater, stuff to put other stuff in...GOODNESS, HELP ME I AM LOSING IT TO TOO MUCH STUFF!!!!!!!

Can I ask since you are freakazoid mode, are the kids hiding from mom? That's what my kids do when I'm high stressed.

I'm too scared to even open my suitcase for fear not every thing will fit.

I'm here, I'm here! Just trying to get caught up.

Well, I'm doing the laundry so that our dirty clothes don't have to sit for 10 days. I'm going to start stacking up our junk/stuff so that the housesitter doesn't have to trip over stuff. I still need to print out a couple door signs, and some transfers for my pillowcases. Guess I should iron the pillowcases as well. Hmmm, maybe I'll do that in the am. Ummm, I'm still not packed, but that will wait for tomorrow so I can lay out all my clothes. I guess its still hot down south. Our temp is finally getting comfortable and we're leaving...

Lisa, if you can, upwrap things in packages to cut down on bulk. Did you get the spacesaver bags? Use ziplock bags if you have to to squish stuff airtight.

I'm not going to hunt for hooded rain ponchos. Thanks Zwei for slapping me out of doing that. I'm hoping to get a manicure and pedicure tomorrow. My heels are aweful! If I don't get that done (my feet) don't look down!

My dd's had some lesson to do some free drawing and what does she draw? The Mickey boat. She put mickey ears on the smoke stacks too. Can you tell she's ready to go?

Sorry, my creativity has very little limits. All I can think of is a cut up t-shirt and ripped cropped pants and a make shift sash.

I was going to pack the pirate party stuff in the box they were shipped in but decided that took up way too much room so I broke that all down. I did manage to squish down all of DD's Princess dresses so that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I still have a ways to go but at least I got a good chunk of it figured out.

I have packed my rolling soft sided Mickey surfboard cooler but I am wondering if I should unpack it and leave it home. I am not bringing anything specific on board that needs to be on ice, nor am I planning on buying bottled water to store on ice. Do you think I'll need it for anything else or should I skip it? I had planned on bringing it since day one, but I honestly don't remember why.

I wish we could find out what's going on with the islands and if CC had any damage. We need to see what the weather forecast is for the Bahamas, too.

I wouldn't. There's a small fridge in your cabin for little stuff. I would bring a couple water bottles if you need it.

I can't remember if they put lids on the kids cups any more. SeaWorld doesn't do it any more, our zoo doesn't do it any more and I'm wondering if Disney's followed suit...
