what do you ladies buy for the family members you have no clue what to get them? It has to be light and not a gift card (I think I've over done them). Any thoughts?

How about.....hmmm.....legos?
I have no idea. Everything we mailed was heavy. We got some nice cocoa mugs from Crate and Barrel and sent them along with some nice cocoa for a family of six.....I'm making alot of gifts this year too like tote bags with iron-on designs (which came out GREAT, I might have to make one for me too!) and some homemade soaps and bath salts and CANDY.

Our practice fudge came out good. TOO good. Lionel had to take it to work for the sake of our waistlines.

What about something like a subscription to a magazine? Or Netflix?

great ideas! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes I'll research them.... :teacher:

Hi Gang,

Sorry we missed each other earlier, Tae Ja. It was my mom's (actual) birthday today so we went out to lunch. :thumbsup2

I am totally longing to go on another cruise. 2008 seems sooo far away. I guess it will be better once the New Year is here and we're in 2007. :confused3 :teeth: :rotfl:

Maybe you should seriously consider the edible arrangement link that I posted earlier. They make beautiful arrangements of fruit. Also, Starbucks has gift sets with different coffees or teas.

We have stopped gift exchange with siblings, nieces and nephews as we felt like we were "gifting the gifted" but before we agreed to stop, a couple times we sent money to Heiffer International (http://www.heifer.org/) and then made up gift cards for each person saying their gift money had bought a chicken for a third world farmer.

Definitely original!!

(and by the way.. if we do June 2008 I'll be able to participate in the drinking games as well! :rotfl: )

Does anyone have a petland around them? :(

I got Rink at a Petland and they've now gone out of business. The closest one now is an hour or so away... They've given us a number for any problems with warranties and all that but the worst part is..

Rink's VERY, VERY MOST FAVORITEST toy ever.. is a Petland brand toy?! I stock up on them anytime I have extra cash and I've been meaning to go over forever and get more (he's gone through the last two I bought) but now they're gone?! I don't know what to do. They're seriously the best way to distract him and everything.. except they lose their squeak and then he doesn't like them so much. None that we have left squeak.

Any way I could mail someone out there my Petland membership card and some $$ to get Rink some ducks for his birthday?

Patsy, last I checked, we still had a Petland locally. I will look tomorrow when I am out running errands. If so, I will be more than happy to get Rink some toys! :thumbsup2

Here's what I sent my mom for her birthday... she loved it! http://www.ediblearrangements.com/ (Hers was called the "Delicious Celebration")

OH LIsa, I want an arrangement for myself! Yummmm. I really like the choc. covered straweberries. What a delicious tip. Thanks :goodvibes

At this stage in the game I have to get the S on the R (my mom said that all the time and I never knew what that meant- I still don't know). Any way, I 've got to hurry up! Two people, shipping, Dh said I should've shipped our packages out like yesterday. I told him I'm shipping Priority....hmmmm :smooth: I'll make it.

I heard on the news that Walmart was going to keep Tickle me Elmo's TMX on stock on their website (so many per day or some thing). WEll, I hope their website doesn't crash again.... :badpc: :teacher:

Vicki- Have a great week off! We're supposed to get warmer weather again nearing the 60's. This is no April fools, so maybe you'll get some warmth and sunshine too eventually :goodvibes :sunny: :wizard:

Jan, thanks for your suggestion.

O.k., before I air out my families dirty laundry I gotta go internet shopping. Shopping in my jammies, I love it! :woohoo:
