I think so. I feel pretty safe at night on campus. But I'd probably try to run earlier in the day if I was to run around campus just for vision purposes. We have these blue pole things ALL around campus that if you get scared you can push the button and talk to the police and ask for an escort if you want.

I've never heard of that, what a great idea. They didn't have that back in the dark ages when I was away at college

Yeah they're insane about our safety here. It's pretty cool. Except we did have this real big presentation during orietation last year about safety. They split the guys and the girls up and told us girls the *dangers* about boys and I guess they told the guys "you know you gotta look out for the girls." They said they didn't want to scare us, they wanted us well-informed and that their number 1 top priority is our safety.

I have a question for all you moms out there.....I think I failed my pregnancy test. It said I wasn't, but I am a WEEK late. I took it 3 days ago. Should I take it again? Maybe my body got confused with all of the excitement.....

Sure, those tests are wrong all the time. My first child it came up negative, so I got a flu shot. Now I joke with my husband that it's a family tradition--his mom thought he was the flu, too.

I apologize for being crude, but are your breasts sore? That was the first sign of pregnancy for me--very, very tender breasts. I couldn't sleep without a bra at all.

With my daughter, my son had been climbing on me and I thought maybe he had kicked me or something. I know it sounds weird, but my kids used to use me as a jungle gym! When I was sore for a week, I went, oh, duh! I'm pregnant!

Now I'm all sentimental, remembering my son when he was soooo little. We asked him if he wanted a little sister brother and he said, "Nah." Lesson learned: don't give them a choice if they don't have one. Then I asked him what he thought we should name his little sister--I really thought it would make him like her more! He came up with Steven Commando Cool. It was YEARS before I found out that he had been naming her after Commander Cool from an episode of Scooby Doo.

And now I'm going to go feel old and miss the baby days...

hey guess what we get to do though! the wonder is going to be up our way in october (i'm sure you guys know that) in va. it's going to be about 3 hours away. my mom said they saw balwan today (our server) and he said that if we came down he'd give us a tour of the ship!

When my oldest was almost 3 my middle dd was born and we have the oldest in video holding her. We were asking her quaestions about the baby and my dh says" do you love your new baby?' and she very matter of factly says"no but mommy does." Touche

I swear the body has a way of playing tricks on you, when we were going through the trying phase my body always seemed to be late. I think its nerves or stress. I'm telling you though it will happen and will be the best thing that ever happened to the both of you
