So, did you survive the day of volunteering for Teia's class?
Yes. The teacher was there all day but I was her mouthpiece (how appropriate, I know :rotfl2: ). I gave the kids a spelling test, read a story, graded papers, and generally just helped the teacher with directions and saying "shhhhhh" all day. :teeth: It was great to be in there and see what goes on, I usually only help with reading in the morning and then leave when that's done.

You know.. I was pretty upset whenever Olive Garden got rid of the Chocolate Lasagna... but this Black Tie Mousse Cake stuff is an excellent runner-up.. Mmmm..

Oi, can you imagine the thread if we joined them? 45,000 posts???

I'd be sad, too...I don't think we can swing a 2008 cruise. The current plan is to do Disneyland 2007 and 2008. I wonder if my DH would consider a cruise *and* Disneyland? :scratchin

Hey, I'm nearly caught up! Only 5 pages behind! And I loaded a lot of pictures onto Snapfish (over 900, do you guys really want to see that???).
I'd love to see your pictures, Dawn! :thumbsup2

Yes they told us how to bank points. I meant the points we recieve in Dec. If we dont use them after banking them we lose them. Right?

Hmmm...hope I'm understanding what you said correctly. Basically, you said you'll receive your points in December. That means that December is when your "use year" starts. So, your points for 2007 are valid from Dec. 2006 until Dec. 2007. If you want to bank 100% of your points during this year, you have a deadline which you have to bank by. If you don't bank before this deadline, then you CANNOT bank 100% of your points and you'll have to use at least some of them by Dec. 2007. There are other deadlines for the rest of your points, I don't know what they are.

If you bank your points, then you can't touch them until the following year. However, if you have something come up where you need the points, you have the ability to borrow from next year's points. This can get confusing, so I won't go into it unless you ask me to.

If you bank any of your points for the time period of Dec. 2006 to Dec. 2007, then you will need to use them between Dec. 2007 and Dec. 2008 or they will expire. You can only bank for one year. If you don't take a vacation on points in 2007, then you will likely have points that you MUST use in 2008.

I've just never known anyone who didn't use the points all up once they had them. As a matter of fact, from what I've seen it's fairly common to find that you need MANY MORE points to support your growing Disney addiction.

We would have had more points this year but I went nuts and bought a hot tub instead. My husband rubs it in every chance he gets. :lmao:

Did anyone hear about this? Walt Disney's Year of a Million Dreams.

There was an article in the Orlando Sentinel today.....free cruises! I told Lionel we're going the be out at the parks ALOT MORE come October. Here's the article if you're interested.

FREE CRUISES! Oh, and DVC memberships. :Pinkbounc

Here is a thread about it.

They've been hinting about this for months! I've been dying to find out what it's all about...man, I hope I hope I hope that they make my dream come true! I'm still hugely miffed that I was one of the few people whose pictures didn't get used in the murals at Disneyland...

Thanks for the info, Erica!

I bet you did a great job and gave Teia the best glare ever if she started to get out of line....

Does anyone have the lost and found number for Disneyworld? We lost a hat on the last day, and I'd dearly love to have it back. But the website is NOT helpful, and my Passporter is still packed. Help?

Got it. Called. Not terribly helpful. Oh well.

Dawn

I would love to use my points next year but we already have reservation at a hotel in Yellowstone,we are going in June for a week , so I cant justify 2 vacations. That's why 2008 we have to use them. We looked into what the cruise would be with the points. I think that's what we are going to do if the reunion cruise happens. If not We'll go to Disney!!!! for a couple weeks or maybe I can convince my Mom to go and get the 3 bedroom villa.

Okay, well, I've added the link to my signature. The password, if it asks you for one, is Mickey. Hopefully that link will work! :thumbsup2 900+ photos took too long to load, so I made two albums. That should help with the download time.

Oh, I get it! I'd be totally trying to justify a second vacation. :rolleyes1

You know, if you can't find a way to use up those points, you can always, out of the kindness of your heart , transfer them to another member (me!). I'm sure any other member (me!) would be deeply grateful if you did that. Another member (me!) would probably be able to use them.

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:
