Good One! :lmao:

Sorry Lisa!!

Although Captiva and Sanibel Islands are nice, that place is not. Now had I known Lisa and her family when I lived there I might have a different opinion. :goodvibes However, I found very hard to meet people that were similiar in age and interests with a family. It was a long 3 years!

I never heard it called that!!!!

I will say I was in love with the Publix in Cape Coma! It was brand new when I moved out there

Eh, everyone calls it that. It doesn't bother me. I have to admit though, this is home now. I've been here 17 years, can't imagine being anywhere else! I have tons of friends, I had my kids here (they're "Crackers") and they have tons of friends...my DH relocated here for me from Chicago, my Mom relocated for me from NJ. Scared to say, I have become one of "them". :lmao:

I am leaving Philly on Tues getting to Fla on Wed. If this track holds up, I will be ok..maybe some rain from the outer bands..we have 20 poncho's (one per person per day) wear and toss!!

You wouldn't even recognize this area. It has grown by leaps and bounds. We went from not having any Starbucks, to having one on practically every corner. It's almost sad the way it has changed in the amount of time I've been here.

I just made an appointment to have mine trimmed next week. I'm not sure if I'll keep it but at least I have it. It's kind of close to my last appt. I go from letting mine grow to chopping it all off. I get bored easily. :rotfl2:
You and me both, Lisa! I really want mine long...but I keep seeing cute hairstyles and chopping it all off. :sad2: That's why I'm hoping that adding the layers will help! :rotfl: Actually...the next time I'm home I'm going to need it cut again because the layers aren't as noticeable as I had hoped. :sad2: I guess I didn't explain it well enough... :guilty:

That's what I have, long layers and it's thinned out because I have really really thick hair

I am not taking any pants for Florida. Should I. Kerry has the weather been real hot? I am just taking skirts and dresses for the cruise. I do not plan on going anywhere nice at WDW. Oh yeah she went to get her hair done anyone else?
I'm taking my favorite pair of jeans for at night just in case. I know on our first cruise (August '01) my mom told us to bring a pair of pants just in case because she didn't know what night temperatures were like out on the ocean...but I can't remember if I wore them or not. On the December cruise I wore pants I think every night...but I don't know if that had anything to do with it being winter or not. So I'm taking a pair of pants just in case.

Fort Myers
That's where my grandparents' place was in Florida!! My grandpa sold it after that hurricane in the summer of '05? And now he lives somewhere with his fiance in the winter in Florida. They both sold their old houses I think and bought one together? I don't know where they moved to though. :confused3

He works for Media Asset Management which means they get all the stuff for movies and shows and store it until someone needs it. Kind of like a film librarian. :rotfl:

I have really thick hair...maybe that's my problem too! :rotfl:

SoFL and the Bahamas are always hot, except for a break Dec-Feb. You don't get the crazy 100's temps some of the country gets during the summer b/c of the ocean breezes. August and Sept seem the hottest months to me. If the sun is out, you will be hot and wet with sweat, best to figure out how to embrace it. If you are outside and not hot, its raining on you, you are wet with rain. You could keep doing stuff were it not for the killing lightening. The rain cools things a bit but as soon as the sun comes back out you have muggy humid heat. Best bet is get wet and be a shade seeker to stay cool. Very easy to get dehydrated when alchohol is involved, I try to make water the every other drink of choice.
