Oh, and I like the 9:00 am meet at Cove Cafe for goodie bags (if it's before we disembark for Nassau). :thumbsup2

I like this idea too, but might just have to drop the stuff off and run especially if this is close to the time to disembark for nassau. Sorry!

* oh and Dawn, I looked at the list of people doing the pirate goodies and just noticed that I'm the only one without kids doing this, so now i feel a little bit like a wierdo.

But just so there isn't "awkwardness" I do realize it is just for the kids, I didnt want you to think that you needed to try to track me down to get me one, it will just be fun to see the kids at the pirate party havin fun with their stuff! pirate:

Hope you're feelin better!

Taeja mentioned pics of posters posted, anyone know what pages? I haven't a clue about how to post pics but if can readily find yours, may be easier to find you to introduce myself. If we miss the meet and greet I'll make my way around the tables for sure. Kerry - is there a way to post or email the seating chart for those with linked dining? Maybe I could study up! Oh yeah, I got my docs! I really was much more interested in room assignment which happenned at 30 days out. I'm happy with my midship deck 6 location, seems convenient. I won't say I've gone as "overboard" as ya'll [you guys will take that the right way, right ;-)] but I spent quite awhile at Target last night stocking up on cruise stuff (after work, cooking dinner and hitting Sears to buy a frig - not a long story but not exciting). I looked for a long time at various over the door shoe holders and decided not to be so organized -- its one cruise for 4 nights. We are a family of 4 in a Cat 11 so really could go either way, if you have a strong opinion, sell me! I know the small pockets won't work, the type with little shoe shelfs were tempting since my main interest would be for putting a change of kids clothes in there (tshirt, shorts, underwear). But maybe stuff would fall out of that type or its too long for the closet, whatever. I tried the target winecube merlot - it was decent. Ok, thats about all I can think of. I'll go scan the last 3 pages, thats about all I can committ to before getting into work. Oh yeah, I am dreaming about the cruise now (literally) and finding I'm mentally packing as I wake up in the morning, an hour before the alarm. The normally happens as early as a week before a trip, I'm almost bummed I'm already losing sleep! ps I'm packing the pirate stuff tonight so maybe I won't dream about forgetting it again!

Well, I haven't done the cruise before, so I don't have a strong opinion. :teeth: But I've heard a lot of other cruisers say they were terribly convenient for dropping loose things into, and that makes it easier to live in a small space.

I love to lurk on this thread, y'all are just a riot! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

So can someone give me a consensus (sp?), please? NO JACKETS (for the men)?? What about a button down long-sleeve shirt and tie? Just how dressy is everyone going to be on semi-formal (or whatever it is called) night?

Also, WAS THAT A YAY OR NAY TO BRINGING GOOD JEWELRY ON THE CRUISE? I think I only go a couple of replies on that question. I'm only talking about my engagement ring, not the Hope diamond or anything.

My DH is going to do long shirt and tie.
I am bringing my ring but I am the wrong one for advice I am on my 3rd wedding ring because I keep losing diamonds.

how cool would that be!? reminds me of a commercial they used to have for the disney cruise line. right after we got back from our first one in 2001... it's a mom in an elevator with her young daughter and a baby in a stroller. the little girl is going on and on about the cruise to some random guy in the elevator with them. she points to her baby brother and says, mom calls him our little souvenir... :lmao:

:rotfl2: I said the same thing!! I don't know if I should be alarmed that a commercial has had such a lasting effect on so many lives! :rotfl2:

Dh will be packing a dress shirt and tie. I'm just going to wear a nice skirt and blouse probably. I saw a beautiful outfit at Marshalls today, but figured, nah!

You should be fine bringing your jewelry. Just leave the treasure chest at home.

I like the 9am idea too. We could conga to the goofy pool for the Nassau day meet. conga  conga  conga

I dont think the kids had food poisoning. It hit me 4:3oam.

You think they were deliberately poisoned?

Oh, duh, I've been watching too many detective shows. That's something you'd see on there--"It hit me at 4:30am. I don't think the kids had food poisoning! I think the ex-girlfriend poisoned them, to cover up the fact that she had been seen digging in the garden the day that the boyfriend disappeard!" Duh duh duuuuuuuuh!

Okay, I'm weird.

Dawn

I was in Bed Bath and beyond today and they had a 20 clear shoe holder for $19.99. Who was going to look at Walmart? Did you find one, if so , how much was it? Who am I kidding, I'll be in Walmart later tonight getting glue for my dd.

:rotfl: I will be there tonight also, and might as well add one of those to my shopping list. My sister had me convinced that we are just two adults, traveling without kids so we wouldn't need one. Heck! What does she know? :lmao:

With all of her "products" she will just hog up the little space we DO have, so I might as well get one, if we don't use it no big deal. I'd rather have one and not need it than need it and regret not having it.

Hi Taeja - thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to leave my "treasure chest" at home! :lmao: :lmao:

I think I'm just going to pack a black skirt and a couple of nice tops to wear for a couple of nights. Then I have capri's and a black top for another night. And then I have a long black skirt and light top to wear for pirate night (not as "piratey" as I would like it to be. :guilty: How does all of that sound?

For DH - it sounds like dress pants (one pair), khakis (2 pair?), dress shirt with tie, and polo shirts. :thumbsup2

Hi Dawn - I just sent you a pm about the goodie bags. :)

I found a cheap one (although I have not caved in and bought it - yet) at CVS. It was like $7.

There are 5 of us in 2 rooms, so I'm thinking (fingers crossed) we'll be okay with the avaiable space. My DH and I also have those traveling toiletry bags that have a hook to hang on a robe hook, door knob, or towel rack - if frees up the sink area. :thumbsup2
