FED-EX BROUGHT MY DOCS

Yeah it is finally official! We also got lanyards with the 50 anniversary pin and KTTW holders. I guess my TA meets us at the airport. What a great job! I want it. I am so excited now.

Does that mean I'll be the last to get my docs?

Someone give me an opinion...my husband's birth certificate will not make it here before we leave. He has a very, very old birth certificate that looks fake to me, but it has a raised state seal on it. I made him take it to the post office, and they said they would take it for a passport but call the passport office for confirmation. He called the passport office, and he can walk in and get a same-day passport if he's desperate--it involves a lot of jumping through hoops, but we have a passport office here--but the person on the phone said that it sounded like a valid birth certificate. We could get a passport just to be safe.

However! I told him that if he got a passport and got it stamped when HE was the reason why none of the rest of us, who have never been out of the states and would really like to have a passport with stamps from another country, got our own passports, I would commit grievous acts upon his person.

So, is it better to be safe and get a passport but become a widow? Or trust that it will be an acceptable birth certificate?

Okay, to be frank if my son at 17 brings home some hot 19/20 year old I would probably have a fit right there. But since Alex is not my son, I guess I can still be a sick, sick, sick woman

Yeah, but if your 17 year old daughter was dating a 19/20 year old man, would that be a problem?

My husband was 25 when I started dating him at 18...but I really think I'd freak out if my daughter did that.

Now that I spent forever trying to catch up...I have to get back to packing. For college. I leave tomorrow so I probably won't be on much tomorrow...and then I probably won't be back until Sunday night or Monday.
After processing and getting some used textbooks my new total for books is $439.45. Yeah it came down 100 but it's still outrageous.

Well, I've been taking a relaxed view of this, but it would be less stress onboard if we had a specific time. Last I heard, Cove Cafe on the morning we're at Nassau was discussed. Does anyone have a preference for time? I can't imagine it would take more than an hour. Would someone volunteer to take the items from the people who can't make it to the swap? Ironically, I won't be available. Is everyone who signed up for goodies part of the linked seating? If not, we'll have to arrange to pick up goody bags also.

I was in Bed Bath and beyond today and they had a 20 clear shoe holder for $19.99. Who was going to look at Walmart? Did you find one, if so , how much was it? Who am I kidding, I'll be in Walmart later tonight getting glue for my dd.

I got mine at Wal-mart, let me run and look at how much it was.

So can someone give me a consensus (sp?), please? NO JACKETS (for the men)?? What about a button down long-sleeve shirt and tie? Just how dressy is everyone going to be on semi-formal (or whatever it is called) night?

Also, WAS THAT A YAY OR NAY TO BRINGING GOOD JEWELRY ON THE CRUISE? I think I only go a couple of replies on that question. I'm only talking about my engagement ring, not the Hope diamond or anything.

Oh, and I like the 9:00 am meet at Cove Cafe for goodie bags (if it's before we disembark for Nassau).

I'm sure I am late to answer, but......button down shirt and tie is plenty, and yes we are wearing our rings

Oh, duh, I've been watching too many detective shows. That's something you'd see on there--"It hit me at 4:30am. I don't think the kids had food poisoning! I found a cheap one (although I have not caved in and bought it - yet) at CVS. It was like $7.

There are 5 of us in 2 rooms, so I'm thinking (fingers crossed) we'll be okay with the avaiable space. My DH and I also have those traveling toiletry bags that have a hook to hang on a robe hook, door knob, or towel rack - if frees up the sink area.

That's what we got too. Of course, there are only two of us. Heh.

OK, I was just going to post my room number there for Jan, and was wondering how safe that would be.... not because of you all, but if there are any lurkers or on here who could somehow use it wrong, ugh I hate that we have to be so cautious.

I am reading Post 8453 which was made 8-12-06 at 2:39 and now it is Thursday, Aug 17 and I find this........am I behind or what?
We have been in 7009 twice and 5020 once on the MAGIC and 7565 once on the WONDER. Any cabin on a Disney ship is MAGICal and WONDERful!!
