Talk away :listen: . We stayed off property once. I did not like it! We normal stay Moderate resorts but I fell in love with the Wilderness lodge and DD wants to stay in the Grand Floridian!
The room is the biggest part so if its done the rest is easy!

Well, so far, I've loved being able to call up and reserve a vacation without having to stress about money. Even if I can't afford anything else, I can stay at a hotel and relax. Of course, I'm thrilled to be staying in a *suite* after the cruise, we'll have our own room for the first time EVER on a vacation with the kids. I can take or leave the kitchen but I'm thrilled that we'll be able to do laundry in the room. That means that we can put a load in and walk away--no time wasted sitting by a washing machine! We can start a load before bed, throw it in the dryer in the morning, and fold it when we get back from the parks. We can use points at non-Disney destinations, which I'm sure we'll do someday :sad2: but it does take a *lot* of points. I really like that we now feel like we could do any vacation we want. Before the DVC membership, we felt like we could only afford to do certain vacations. Now we feel like we could even go to Europe! (Hubby says Disney Paris in two years :rotfl: )

We would normally have gone to WDW and stayed in the Value resorts, so we definitely took a step up when we bought DVC. The down side to DVC is that you don't get to take advantage of package deals--like the free dining that's going on now. But you find ways to get other deals--a lot of DVC members have annual passes and they get discounts from that. Disney Visa also gives discounts on certain things. I can go on and on  sorry!

I think I know what you mean. Not like this is a bad thing because the little boy I babysit was so polite about it, but during the summer last year I was either taking the kids that I babysit to the pool or karate, and we had just pulled away from the driveway with the windows down, because the car has to warm up first for the air to work, and the one little boy asked for the AC to be turned on. I remember doing that as a kid too, but I had to explain to him that I would turn it on in a minute so that the car could warm up and blow cool air instead of hot/warm air.

Hmm...maybe that doesn't make any sense either... Taeja...you're rubbing off on me! :rotfl:

I was shuttling my DS and his friend around, and I told the friend not to roll up the windows because it was hot. He said, "Whatever happened to air conditioning?" I said, "Gas prices!"

When is our window for bad weather to miss us? Does something have to develop this week to affect us? :confused3

There is no real "window" except maybe a day or two before we go. Generally,
storms that originate off the coast of Africa take 10-14 days to cross the Atlantic. The issue becomes fast forming storms in Gulf of Mexico or in the Caribbean itself . These storms can pop up and become strong in a few days.
My guess is that there may be something popping up prior to our sailing, but where is the question. Two weeks is a long time in Tropical weather circles.
The good news is that it is calm right now and the trend could continue..

How was that for a non-answer??? :happytv:

Maybe Erica will come home from the Wonder with a lifetime souvenir :teeth:

OH! That reminds of that commercial! The mom, the daughter, and a baby in a stroller are on an elevator and the daughter is talking to this guy in a suit and tie and the girl is describing her Disney vacation--was it a cruise? Then she says, "This is my baby sister. Mommy calls her our little souvenir." And the mom turns beet red. Now I want to see it again!

Please stay away for my boyfriend ;) :rotfl2: Last night he informed me that he had a dream we had triplets :scared1: :scared: :faint: He already wants twins. (his mom is a twin)

(I hope you know I'm kidding)

I wanted twins. My mom is a twin, and so is my grandmother. But I didn't get any...sigh. I have a feeling I'd have to do the same thing their mothers did to get twins--have lots of babies! (My mom was one of five, and my grandmother was one of 12!)
