I'm off to work...
I have a feeling tonight will be interesting. There is a guy there that apparently has a crush on me (so say other employees) and keeps throwing things at me!

Buuut... he's 6'5" so I can't throw anything back.. or hide, he can see over all the equipment!

Anyone have sunscreen issues?

We try a variety of kid friendly products and try to use the best stuff on the face (and not real high spf b/c lots of chemicals). Anyway, I don't have the right one yet when it comes to reapplying. They are fine with one application and normally, all we do. But when I decide they've been out too long and reapply, they have burning/stinking sensation to the face. It doesn't hit them until they hit the water after second application.

Anyone have similar issues and find a solution? Other than this, I don't think of them as having sensitive skin.

I get that same burning sensation. I use Neutrogena (sp?) sunblock stick (stick suncreen) that is SPF 25. I have never gotten burned and it never stings. Supposedly better for your skin as well. I reapply it every hour when at the beach all day because I worry about the sunburn factor and my face peeling. I think you could apply it less frequently and be just fine. Here is what it looks like

ETA: When I go to the pool, I just put it on once-no burn. I am very cautious at the beach because I have gotten badly burned from a day at the beach.

Thanks, I'm going to look for it. Hopefully I can convince my kids to let me reapply, they've had so many bad experiences with it I've lost all credibility!

I think reapplying frequently if they are in the water is best regardless of the sunscreen. I would hate to have a sunburn from CC. The reflection from the sun on the water can be murder.

I use the Bullfrog stick on my son. He never complains about it so I do not think it has that stinging burn but I don't know first hand.

I'm still trying to decide on the seasafe issue

If you have a Big Lots near you go there for sunscreen. They have all the name brands for half the price. I can get Banana Boat Spray for $2.99 a bottle. :thumbsup2

I totally agree about reapplying! I encourage my boys to keep their T shirts on whenever possible. They burn quickly.

I can't decide on the SeaSafe either. :confused3

I went ahead and got it. Being from Florida it's hard to fathom why I would need this since I have NEVER encountered a problem but better safe than sorry. I got bonine too for me and DS but we have both cruised before and have not needed it. So essentially $20 in products that I probably won't need but would be hot if I did and paid the onboard prices.

We got our docs today! I'm so excited, I almost hugged our UPS man.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Brown Delivered! Brown Delivered! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

We just walked through the door, but I wanted to let you all know. BBL :wave2:

YEAH!!!!!! Can you believe that we only have 18 days until we sail!!!!!

Well, according to UPS my garment bag is somewhere in transit right now. I also got an email from travelocity saying my cruise docs are arriving Friday via FedEd. PHEW! I was getting concerned.

Kerry, this is the garment bag that I ordered. It got great reviews for being so inexpensive. I will tell you more about it when it arrives!

Off to read my new Real Simple that arrived today - that was a nice surprise :sunny:

Where did you buy it from? I can't decide on the Bonine either. I've read it only works if you take it before you actually feel sick. I don't want to take anything, I may not even need it. Are you going to take the Bonine before we sail?

I got it from drugstore dot com. I needed some Motrin for Jared and he was out and I liked the Bonine chewable feature.

I will not take it before we sail. It says 1 hour before you do anything but my thought is that if I need it, I will take it and rest for an hour. It's hard to understand why it wouldn't work within an hour of taking it. Now if you take it and upchuck then that's why it didn't work :lmao: I don't get motionsick and when I went on RCL I took it but stopped on the third day. I really didn't need it.

If it starts to look like seas are getting rough I will take one. It all depends on the motion on the ship.

Although to play devil's advocate, what's the big deal to take 1 pill everyday? So who knows what I will do.

I'm considering giving it to DS just to be safe. Potentially at night since it could make him drowsy ;)

That looks like the one I saw at Belk. Tell me what you think of it when it arrives.
