Dawn, thanks for the website you gave me for the pirate shirt! I wasn't going to look at it til I popped in to Hot Topic to see what they had. Since there were no billowy pirate shirts in there I decided to try out the website you gave me and I found the perfect one for me! :cool1: I got the peasant shirt...it looks so cute! :goodvibes I just hope it fits... Now all I have to do is decide whether I want to wear pants or a skirt...and then decide which type of pants/skirt I want! :rotfl: I think I'll wait til I get the shirt to see if I want a skirt or pants...

LOL No problem, glad I could help! I'm almost always looking for stuff like that anyway, so I tend to have website ideas.

Dawn, I did a search (it worked) on iced tea. Its fresh brewed. Here's the thread I got the info from http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1165354&highlight=iced+tea

I was wondering too (since you posted about it). We're avid iced tea drinkers as well. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Now its time for me to catch up....

Wasn't me, sorry! I like iced tea, but I'm technically supposed to steer clear of caffeine.

I think it was Lisa? Or maybe Erica? Who said they loved iced tea?

I don't think I'm going to get caught up tonight, I'm falling asleep!

Hmm. I think I might get to do a solo WDW trip for a few days :)

My dad is going to a seminar in Orlando and his company is paying for him to stay at the Gaylord Palms.. in an attempt for father/daughter bonding he said I can stay in the room provided to him and use the transportation provided for him, too.. I'd just have to buy my ticket to the parks! The hotel has a shuttle to WDW (says it's 5 minutes) and I've got enough frequent flier miles for a free plane ticket sooooo :-D :-D
(I think this is why I'm not getting out of credit card debt??) Hehe..
Sorry, I was excited and wanted to share :) :) :) :)

I'm such a Disney nut and the money I had for the parks after the cruise is now floating around in my mind.. (Tho I might surprise Michael with parasailing!)

Hope everyone is having a good night :)
I'm wiiiiired!

Thought you guys might like this picture...

Okay.. I'm actually going to try to get some sleep after this..

But I found this nifty webpage.. There are two webcams for where I live (Marietta, OH and Parkersburg, WV) so now I can keep an eye out on my towns! (haha)

Anyway, found it interesting and thought others might want to check them out.. once the sun comes up I'll be looking at the ones for Key West!

*edit*
I suppose it helps if I share the link..

DD had a great time but it was looong, 3 hours. I sat with a bunch of moms who were all complaining/comparing/commiserating about which teacher their kid got this year. Our school groups students by "progressive placement" which means that they're grouped by ability. There were a lot of high scoring kids and the group that was together in kindergarten got split up. Some of the kids moved down a level, and some got moved down two levels. Needless to say, some of the parents weren't very happy. :confused3 It ends up being more about the parents' ego than about their kid being placed appropriately. Human nature I guess.

Our school does not have this grouping policy. I am not sure it is a good idea or not. The thought was that the smarter kids will naturally draw the lesser kids a little higher. The teacher is supposed to use a technique called differentiated instruction.which means they don't teach to the middle of the class, they must teach to the top middle and bottom..It has been my experience that it is not always a good thing with a weaker teacher, or a senior teacher who has been set in their ways.. There are objections to grouping the smarter kids and the less talented from parents..it is hard for a parent to be objective...

Has anyone here ever dyed their hair with Kool Aid?
Couldn't sleep again last night and found some instructions online and thought I'd give it a try.. hahaha

Everywhere I go, I smell cherry! It's driving me slightly nuts.. and it's supposed to stay on there a couple more HOURS! Crazy.
I'll get impatient in about another half hour and that'll be it :-P

We are sooo close I can taste the Mickey Bar :)

i've never tried it. but when i did summer swimming, back in the day, i always wanted to try it and do blue. you'll have to let me know how it works!

Thanks!!! This helps a lot. I have a pair of Nike's right now and they are great, just getting old. But not a nice pair like the shox, so I will definitely look for those. We live about an hour from an outlet mall (with a Nike store  ) so will now have a great excuse to go shoppping!!!!

Thanks for the info too on the stretch. I actually do that stretch before I play racketball, but might just have to give it a try too before the treadmill. DUH! Not sure why I haven't. gheesh

Well thanks a lot!!! Its nice to get some info from an actual runner

no problem! glad to help out when i can! it's not like i'm super runner or anything but i would like to think i at least know a little :teeth:

I hope you ended up having a nice night last night. Did the boy come through or was it a night in front of the t.v. hmmmm.... I'm guessing if I keep reading these posts I will soon find out, :rotfl:

I liked Charlie and the Chocolate factory but couldn't believe how different it was from the original. I looooove the original so I went in to it already going, ok its not going to be as good, but it CAN still be good.

Anyway I liked it especially the theme about his dad. That was a great addition to the story. Though, I missed the whole slugworth morality part. That seemed like a good lesson for kids to learn on top of the lessons about gluttony, etc

The Oompa loompa choreography killed me.

And, whenever Wonka would tell that tv kid to stop mumbling. too funny

Well anyway it was a nice night, could have been a little warmer, a sweatshirt and sweats wasn't enough, shoulda brought my blanket but we had a meteor shower and it was great. Every once in a while a falling star would go above the screen and the crowd would "Oooh". It was pretty cool.

Even brought my dog, she wasn't naughty so I was happy, after the band stopped playing and the movie started she just curled up on her pillow and snoozed, except for when I broke out my popcorn....she was suddenly VERY awake popcorn::

Well I better get all caught up.... my grandma is coming over in a little while we're having crab and corn on the cob for my bday!!!! :Pinkbounc

Pink is my favorite color so I always imagine that the little pink bouncing blob is me, wooo hooo (now that I think about it though, I'm not sure why I don't have legs......)

sat night was nice and relaxing. i didn't do much. played around on the internet for a while and then watched mash (which by the way i have to say is the greatest show ever) for a bit. then i went to bed. i was really tired for some reason. no worries though i hung out with him last night :teeth:

i'm glad you had fun at the movie! i love it. yeah we love when he yells at the kid for mumbling too. we always say it around my house, it's great. and i do love the oompa lumpa dances so great! :lmao:

the half is already closed!?!?!? :furious: :sad2: :guilty: :sad2: :sad1: :scared:  :crazy2: :headache: :worried: :(

why why why did I wait so long to get the courage up to decide I would try it? argggh I knew i was never going to be able to run the dang thing, but i was going to try to run/walk it, like run a couple walk a couple blah blah blah

I just actually asked my sister the other day if she would come down with me and cheer me on so I wouldn't have to stay down there by myself.

drat do people ever change their mind and you can get on some sort of waiting list in case someone cancels out then you can get on?

Oh well, I'm not physically read for that challenge anyway. Just like to have a goal and that one seemed fun.

gol' dern it

well, i think there is still a way you can enter it. hang on let me check my email real quick... it says if you still want to do it you can visit the 'groups and charities' page on the website
http://disneyworldsports.disney.go.com/dwws/en_US/marathon/listing?name=MarathonEventListingPage2
i'm not entirely sure what all would be involved with that. but there's the link in case you wanted to check it out and see if maybe you wanted to do it that way!

I always use the vacuum. In fact, if I were you, I'd sleep with that vacuum next to me! :rotfl2:

ok... i have a story about this. about a REAL spider. not these sissy little spiders that heidi screams about and runs away. some of them, yes it's ok to be scared of them... and some (even fewer) it's ok to scream at. but i'm guessing the one heidi saw was not scream or scare worthy. not until you've had this experience...

so, this past april my dad was away for business. and hayley and heidi are at school. so it's just me and my mom. hanging out, having a girls night. we ordered wedding date off of the renter thing on our satellite and we were sitting in the basement with a quart of baskin robbins and spoons just getting out of the bucket. about 15min into the movie i see this thing scurry out from under a basket and stand in the middle of the room. it was HUGE. literally. probably a good 5 inches around. and i just look at it. i'm like uh there's a spider. and my mom was like holy crap. so we decide we're going to try and kill it. ice cream is gone so i go to rince out the container to trap it. i come back my mom is getting ready to throw my high school graduation video at it (which we just managed to acquire... colin powell was our speaker :teeth: ) and i was like NO YOU CAN'T USE THAT! so i'm standing on the coffee table trying to catch it with the ice cream bucket. but it moves so fast and every time it moves we jump and scream. so then we decide screw the ice cream thing just throw videos at it. we threw about 3 and kept missing cause it would move at the last second (if you could have seen me hovering over the spider... man!) so then it crawls on a dance dance revolution dance pad. and we think, ok, maybe we can get this out the backdoor. but we can't see where it is on the pad. so i move it and it comes running up the pad. i scream and drop it. now it would have been easy if my dad had been home, he could have just done it. we're like, what do we do. so i look at the time. it's about 11pm on a friday. and i think to myself, mr bowles just told me the other week that they eat really late on fridays and saturdays. i bet he's still up! (mr bowles, our neighbor across the street is also my boss...) so we go upstairs to find that my dog has thrown up EVERYWHERE. and it's disgusting. (we figured out later that she ate a whole bag of candy corn and that's what it was and why it was so gross). so my mom is trying to clean that up, while i run across the street to get my boss. now i think at first he was like what is wrong with these people. until he saw the spider himself and was lik oooooh you've got a good one. he tried catching it. it didn't work. so he eventually got it with the vacuum. although for the rest of the weekend i was scared to go by the vacuum because i thought it was going to crawl out and come get me. the scary thing is... if there's one, that means there's at least one more.... i have yet to see another one. but when i go near the basket it came from, i get chills...

DRESS UP NIGHT :confused3
I thought we had regular nice clothing every night except Pirate Night. What did I miss?
Jan :earsgirl:

Sundaynight-cruise casual
Mondaynight-dressy night(not formal)
Tues.night-pirate night
Wed. night-cruise casual

I'm pretty sure that is the line up. We didn't see anyone overly dressed up at all. And truthfully didn't see anyone dressed up for pirate night but that was last May and it was a relatively new thing. HTH :goodvibes
