Flat Stanley is this thing that some schools do, it's a cut out of a little man and you take him with you for a weekend and you write a little journal of everything he's done with you. Like, if we took him on the cruise we would stand him on the table, take his pic, and then write about his adventures at dinner. My kids never did this but I've heard about it for years now.
