Patsy- I know how you feel about the scholarship thing. I made the Chancellor's list (straight A's) BOTH semesters and my college isn't giving me anything either. :furious: :sad2: I don't have a single scholarship. I have to pay for college by myself, except I think my mom said they'd pay interest? :confused3 My big student loan was taken out in my dad's name and my name I think. Actually, I really don't have a clue about the whole money thing. I give all the papers to my dad and say "you handle this." I'm just walking through college care-free, pretending it's all free! :rotfl:

Kerry, they won't. They say they deserve my tuition credit in leui of rent. Something about how I couldn't do everything I do without living here, which is true I suppose.

Most of the laws in West Virginia stink ;)

I wouldn't have much of a case, because most of it is just online or him talking to EVERYONE but me. He works in the movie theater at the mall and I'm, right now, working at a store in the food court. Go figure our movie theater is in the food court. If I'm up front, he can see me from Regal..
His managers actually got our store phone # a few months back so if he ever left they could call and give me a heads up. My managers all know the situation because he talks to them all the time (But one finds it amusing because last time he went to the movies the guy upsized his popcorn for free, :rotfl: )
Every theater employee knows me now.. Thats probably the scariest part. But at least I sometimes get in for free or at least ALWAYS with a discount, because they feel bad for me.

He knows where I live but he doesn't drive... so his chances of getting here are very slim. It'd be about a three-four hour walk for him. Hahaha. By that time, someone would call me and give me a heads up he was on his way and I'd leave.

I guess our 1yr Anniversary is coming up.. He fell in love with me sometime in October last year, lol.

Thank you for making me appreciate my parents even more. (Not that your parents are bad mind you. I wouldn't know)

It's amazing how you get older and realize how much your parents rock! Up until 18-19 I thought they were put on this earth to torment and torture me :rotfl: Turns out that my parents are pretty cool and I am very lucky to have them both in good mind and health.

As for your stalker, that is weird!!!!!!

Ahh, I couldn't do that. It's completely against my nature, lol.
My parents haven't signed for a thing for me.. All my bills are completely in my name and they'll remain that way. I hated the idea of them pulling out loans because I don't want their help.. :furious: I couldn't take the backlash of accepting their help with school, so I was stubbornly refusing.. then I realized I couldn't do it alone so we sat and talked and they offered to help and now two weeks later I'm doing it on my own again. I'm not going to fall for it next time, haha.. Gotta find a way to do it myself, even if it means dropping out for a few years.
I worked two jobs last year while school was in session and knew where every last dollar went. I saved $20 from every check to pay for my trip with my bro in December last year and this cruise is with my high school graduation money..

My parents are so out of the loop on how I'm handling my education, they didn't know I was on the Dean's list until someone congratulated them having seen my name in the paper.

I just devoured a Ghiradelli White Chocolate with Vanilla Beans square. One of the attorneys had it left over from last weeks candy gifts from San Fran.

Very Yummy :goodvibes

They're not bad people by any means :)
They're just 'different' :rotfl:

They could have kicked me out a long time ago, so I'm still grateful I have a roof over my head (and free internet.. I'd die without internet.. )

Once you turn 18, you can file your own tax return and claim yourself, despite your parent's wishes. I would be careful, as your parent's may be picking up your health insurance tab (as you are still a student),which can be costly.
My son is 19 also. I have no real control over him legally any longer. I try and make him pay for stuff too...for many different reasons other than pure cost.. I pay college, cell phone, free rent..All he has to do is watch his brotheres and sisters a few hours each week...but he is basically a good kid and it could be a lot worse.......

Aww, that's so awful. You didn't tell them? I was all excited to tell my mom...and both my mom and my dad came down to north carolina in february to watch my little ceremony (aka me going to shake the Chancellor's hand and getting my little certificate saying I got straight A's). :rotfl:

Haha, no I didn't tell them.

We don't have any little ceremonies like that!
Bummer! I feel shorted, lol.
We did have a luncheon for students and parents of new Honors College peoples.. but I didn't want to take the time off work, so I didn't go..
you know.. I'm not sure they even know I'm in the honors college after an entire year plus a summer semester.. :lmao:
It's my victory and I don't doubt they'd find some way to spoil it, so I'll keep it to myself :p

My dad's insurance company is amazingly awesome. I'm covered under him, whether I'm dependent on him or not, until I'm 24 as long as I'm in school AND I can take a semester off here and there as long as I have a job and am not loafing on the couch.
My health is amazingly crappy so insurance is one of the first things I looked into before trying to find a way to seperate myself.
The only thing I ever pay to go to the doctor is a $20 copay which I do pay on my own already.

I don't have brothers and sisters to watch.. I'm the last one so other than clean up after myself, there isn't much to do around here. My older brother is moving back in next week, though. :rolleyes1 He just graduated from WVU and he's moving back in  ... so I imagine things will change a lot, just not sure which direction they will move in...

oh trust me, it could be A LOT worse. I could tell you some horror stories about my brother  :sad2: :rolleyes1

That's too bad Patsy. I hope in the future you will be able to share your victories with them. As a mom, nothing makes me happier than seeing my son succeed and be happy in whatever he wants or trys to do.

Back to shoes:

Did you guys see the Waldies? They have them like crocs but they also have them like sandals and they look so comfortable. :thumbsup2

shoes, did someone say shoes? :Pinkbounc :yay: :bounce: :dance3:

I have fallen in love with my Rainbows. My skis look horrible in Tevas and even more so in crocs! So with the exception of dinner, that's about all you will see me in.

So.. I have to go to work.. but I'm sure someone can post for me to read when I get back..

But what exactly makes Crocs and Tevas so great??

I love my rainbows too! I have the tan ones...and now I want the blue ones, the pink ones, and the white hemp ones! :teeth: :rotfl:

Anyone have a guess at our most likely dining time and rotation? (For those linked dining with main/early seating.)

okay, disneyshopping charged my Amex for the t-shirts but has no status on where they are at? I hate having to call customer service! :furious:

I requested 6pm which means PTTA. tritons is the repeater restaurant. we will be in there for formal night and Pirate night.

Not that the 4 nighter has a real formal night but you know what I mean.
